Ice King / Simon is definitely my favorite - I don't even think I need to say more. I also really like Mr. Fox as you said he has a very casual and relaxing voice. And when he said "look at that depression you can't buy that you've got to earn" in King's ransom it spoke to my very soul. And Neptr is so good - as you said he is the butt-monkey but still remain optimistic no matter what - I would if you make a Betty video - I would watch it no matter how long it is - by the way I love your hair - I would wish mine was like it.

My favorite lemongrab story is the mountain. He looks to himself and says "Maybe i am wrong, maybe I am broken, but they say finding god can fix you, so i should do that," then he ascends the mountain(joins a monastery) and the entire process of meeting Matthew is them telling him he is imperfect. He is grease. But if he can get rid of the fact that he's too controlling, accept that PB will never love him, and ultimately run away from the "self" then he can go to heaven. Then, as he stands on the precipice, he tells god "If you are perfect, then no one can ascend to you, because being perfect is impossible" then he shoves lemon johns in his mouth, something sour, a distillation of the thing that Matthew and everyone else in his life tells him to get rid of. and it kills god. He essentially shoved attachment to the world into buddha and dragged him back down to earth. and he's finally at peace

Going back to early eps like this always makes me wonder how much of Simon's arc was planned out or if they just sorta made it up as they went along. I can imagine there was a semblance of a notion that he was crazy due to sheer loneliness or something, but I really wonder when the staff decided "let's make this goofy ice wizard the most tragic character ever."

I like to think that the reason cosmic owl went to Ice King was because he was off work and decided to call Ice King out simply due to hating him and there's actually other evidence that Ice King is subconscious aware of the crowns effect on him: in the story in Fiona and Cake Fiona says to Cake to take off Ice Queen's Tiara so not to catch her craziness. This episode also has one of my favorite season 1 jokes, that LSP generally seems to have fun at the fake party.

I would have loved to see KOO try and finesse his way into another one of the kingdoms before or after the candy kingdom. Them adding more to his characters xcould have been really interesting too whether he's a parasitic conman or if it was some kind of trauma filled self fulfillment journey.

What an incredible coincidence I just watched a video about Avatar Day as you posted this - Yun is definitely a fascinating character - I think it would be interesting if they make a story about a real Avatar who constantly make bad decisions or got their power abused by their peers ect- I would totally be down for more Avatar content from you - great video

I've been rewatching the show alot thx to all the reactions lately And i kinda hate that most of the time the seasons end and begin with insanely good episodes and inmediately there's like a stretch of 4-5 bad episodes next to them. Especially at the beginning of S4.

Mabel didn’t know she was giving the rift to Bill. She thought that was Blendin, someone the twins had befriended previously, offering to help her. She was tricked. And she didn’t know what on earth the rift even was. Possessed Blendin said, “[it’s] something small. [Ford] wouldn’t even know it was missing.” Also I feel like people forget about Sock Opera. The episode where Mabel’s selfishness is addressed directly and is something she overcomes. It’s not as if the show treated her as some infallible character. She’s a flawed 12 year old put in extraordinary situations.

Great video! It upsets me how many people ignore everything good Mabel has done, only focusing on her faults. People complain about her selfishness and her being boy crazy, yet say nothing when it comes to Dipper's selfishness and obsession with Wendy

According to the wiki, king of ooo is actually a species which lives for making themselves the kings of things, in this case of ooo, and they are called wax hustlers, i just think thats funny
