The problem is that, if you have like 300 +games you have too look for every specific game (already have a few tpks) and its kind of a pain in the ass, if they could have them all on a id server just scan, like the emulator does when it boots up then download the p with the emulator for the game it'd be a lot more convinient
do vice city next 👀
underatred video, definately worth the sub
Just wait until we have AI filters
These games were meant to be played on a crt, this is sinful. Even with the upgraded textures they would look better on an HD CRT
If i didn't come across this video 3 days ago after i just woke up this video was recommended to me & i didn't know that texture packs for emulators existed it sucks there isn't one for Need For Speed Undercover, Shadow The Hedgehog (2005), 50 Cent Bulletproof or Midnight Club 2 hopefully those texture packs while come out eventually as of posting my comment the website has texture packs for 555 of the 4,000+ games in the entire PS2 library great video man can't wait to see this channel go places:)🎨🔥
instead of looking up that google sheets you can google the names of the games. for instance it seems some packs exists for undercover. but maybe you've already done so, in that case, sorry lol.
An AI video that talks about the technology in a positive light and highlights the possibilities it offers to users? Imposible!
@@alexsilva28 who you calling AI 😅😅
Black was so underrated , I never heard people talking about it
Deserves a proper remaster for sure
Nowadays if you ask anyone what's the best shooter on PS2 they'll say Black. But indeed back then it was highly underrated.
Good video PS2 and Xbox are the best ones as they don’t have removed soundtracks well later PS2 versions for some reason good comparison also nice touch adding SA2 much 👍
I've been playing GT4 Spec-II a lot lately, and it's amazing.
I love what the community is doing... too bad that i dont like Ai upscaled stuff 😒
Never Got Linux Native Port :(
Yo
For those interested in playing San Andreas on an Android Phone or Tablet, the PS2 version is by far the best option, using the NetherSX2 patch for AetherSX2, which is a port of PCSX2. It works brilliantly and looks great, but keep in mind that hardware requirements can be a bit high for lower end devices, especially if you decide to crank up the resolution (which isn't that necessary on a small screen). Touch controls are supported, but I would recommend using a controller. You can even use a real PS2 controller with a PS2 controller to USB-A and a USB-A to USB-C adapter. Unwieldy with a phone, but quite nifty on a tablet. A modern 10 or 12" tablet is probably of similar size as the little bedroom TV that many of us experienced this game first on back when it came out.
The Best way to play San Andreas is the friends We made along the way
For me the PS2 is the first. I think, it's still the best version of the game. IF you considering to play more seriously the game, then the PC version. The XBox is an interesting one. It was a kinda mixed port. It never was a huge succsess, and that's why this is the most unknown version of the game. And lastly the Def. Ed... no... never... Stay away everything SA related, that was made by the Wardrum, later GSG studio...
Best to way play it, on an OG PS2 or if u were able to cop the OG PS4 drop of the trilogy like I managed to get
Just patched the ratchet and clank games last night. They look amazing.
You can also get the original pc version through the trilogy not definitive type they forgot to take it down
Good video. It's a shame it's not easier to find the perfect way to play this game. A rom for the game is getting harder to find to emulate. The game has been removed from Steam, and the DE version is still not fully fixed yet. I've been playing the DE version for now, it's OK but still needs more fixes. I've tried modding the Steam version before, but I couldn't stop it from crashing. That's one reason I like the DE version, it looks a little nicer and doesn't crash.
Thought you were tito from macho nacho man, but yo keep it up
The ps2 emulator has. Only a small weird issue where dirt on cars looks purple. Other than that it runs like a dream
nice vid
DONT PLAY the Xbox 36o/ ios / endorid port it is the worst version ,
Remember one thing when talking about Rockstar Games ports!! The more they port one game to different platforms the more it breaks.
man how do i even get the OG steam version
Unless I'm completely mistaken, both the PS2 & Xbox versions have widescreen options in the display menu.
@@TechRyze another commenter has reminded me that the Xbox version has 16:9 support if you boot into the dashboard first and select it. I’m not sure about PS2
Pc version with skygfx is the best
I kind of missed the GTA bandwagon. When the original game came out, I didn't have either a PS1 or a DOS computer to run it. I had an Amiga until I got a system with Windows 98 on it around 2000. When GTA3 came out, my system didn't meet the requirements. Bt the time I had one fast enough, Vice City and San Andreas were out, and I kind of wanted to play them in order. That never happened. The first GTA game that I actually tried playing is Liberty City Stories in PPSSPP. While I like the game over-all, there are things about the game design that I find rage inducing. Like not being able to instantly restart a failed level in a challenge, or having to start an entire challenge over again if I fail one level of it. Not to mention the braindead auto-aim that usually locks onto everyone BUT your preferred target in crowded locations. While I think a modded computer version would be the best looking, if it didn't have the ability to save and load the game at will, I would NEVER have the patience to play it. I would have quit LCS after about 10 minutes without save states. Plus, if I'm going to play a game on a system with a mouse, I want the ability to aim with the mouse.
I just subscribed. Looking forward to more tips ans contents from you. Also a guide for added texture packs for the newbies would help for different systems
me too i can't wait to see this channel blow up in emulation guides & resolution
Damn. Looks great. Havent looked at texture packs for a while now. Time to update my game list
The modern controls on the DE version is also something you can get out of the PC version with mods.
No offense but if I have to pick between sloppy AI crap and the original textures, I'll go with the originals. People should really study the process behind making textures that are faithful to the originals from scratch like Nerrel did for Ocarina of Time and other games instead of cheaping out on what should be a labor of love.
i have the gta games on switch with the new update it play/looks nice grab a copy it bad a$$ !!!!!!!
I think the best way must be to use a old PC with Win XP. I first played this game on HP DV 6000 Win XP laptop with 128 MB Nvidia GPU. Right now I'm playing this game on Lenovo Thinkpad T480 Win 11 laptop with Intel HD 630.
What??? Only 1k views in this video? This deserves wayyyy more
Such a well-made video, you deserve more!
What is your pc specs ? ( for emultion purpose ) because i have a goog pc but when trie emulator , it does run smoothly😊
I just subscribed to you, brother. 🤎🤜🏼🤛🏼
DE after the latest update is currently the best way to play the game in my opinion.
Ew, not yet, the models and textures still look like crap, next update tho yes hopefully.
Did i already know everything about the video? Yes Did i watch it? Yes Did i like it? Yes
I appreciate that a lot thank you!
Ive had SA in my backlog for years now, and even now Im still debating which version I want to play lol. Love playing ps2 games with a CRT filter, but daaang modded steam would probably be the best way to go. Sometime soon though Ill decide and start my first playthrough!!!
I've played through GTA 4&5 many years ago, with 4 being my favorite. Wonder how this will stack up 🤔
ChaiNNer
Honestly for me I find the emulated PS2 version and the modded steam release is the way to go for a more close nostalgic feel. DE if they reverted the weird sims artstyle they went with could help it further I feel. Though DE is still just a disappointment overall to me since it could've been so great if they did one game at a time instead of all 3 at once.
Love the vid man. I've known about texture packs for a long, long while now, but this video might be the tipping point in trying them when I get a new PC.
great vid!
9:51 i've used a mod for the classic PC version which is "ENB Series" from MixMods, it makes the game look exactly like DE with the new filter while keeping the original art style
The way I see it, the best way to play it is via native PC port. And I'm not talking about the Steam release. I'm talking about OG physical release. I mean, I own one so it's not a problem for me. But if you want a PS2 graphics then there is mods that fit all your needs. And then you can buy and use PS2 controller for the PC, that you can plug-in via adapter or just buy a PC adapted version of it. There is also a fix that allows the PC version of the game to see the controller properly. But I personally play on Mouse and Keyboard so it doesn't bother me at all. But why not emulating the game, you may ask? Well, simply because the emulation can have it's problems. Like bugs, stutters, performance issues and stuff like that. So emulation is not a solution here. Also, native PC version can be played with resolution that you want and also in full 60 FPS and even 4K. And yes, I'm still talking about original PC port and not a remastered one.
And the xbox version works with quite a few PC mods, I used to play it with 2x draw distance, a downscaled HD texture pack and another mod that added extra button combinations that allowed for features like entering vehicles as a passenger, full aim drive bys, being able to pick up and move buglary props at any time, even had a real time map and model editor, all running on real hardware.
The xbox version is not stuck at 4:3, boot into the dashboard and change your resolution and aspect ratio from there. The xbox trilogy will all run in true widescreen.
@@talibong9518 Sorry about that, I’m gonna pin your comment to let people know about it ❤️
