Agreed, did mine today. Also right above your head at the y pipe, take a ratchet strap and pull down on pipe. Will give you an extra half inch. Plus rotate front of pan to driver side, then gently pull to front of truck. There is a very particular spot it will just slide out.

I'm posting this to hopefully help others, not for arguments sake. Pan Removal Trick: I have 2018 Tahoe 6L80 trans. and the pan will come right out! Not sure if your ride will have it (i know most do), but I removed the heat shield on passenger side of pan (2 bolts). Then I was able to slide the pan over to passenger side about 3 inches, then twisted the front of the pan towards the driver side and it came right out! Removing the little heat shield gives you lots more room. If you look at the back of the pan (shallow end), there is a little raised area on the bottom about 3 inches from the passenger side, that spot is the point that will allow you to move passed the exhaust y pipe (cross over pipe). Hope this helps!! 👍

Only way a dealer changed that fluid before was by dropping the y pipe or prying down a bit on the exhaust and squeaking the pan by which is what I have done. Putting in a drain plug in a pan usually just calls for another possible leak. But you picked a hell of a time to drop the pan. 😊

The shocks where like 45.00$ each!! I ran not the cheapest ones but the next ones up!! I will only run skyjacker lift kits because I have noticed with other lift that after a year or two they will start to sag and not be as tall as they were on the install!!! Plus I have never had any issues with skyjackers stuff either!! Every one that rides in my big truck are completely amazed with how well it rides going down the road and are always asking me how I did it!!! Other then running skyjacker lift and doing a rear shackles flip on it with all grease able bolts that is it!!! I think the shocks are the hydro 8000 shocks but not completely sure?? Now on my 1981 Chevy 1Ton 4x4 I ran there M95 shocks I believe and I like them also but not as smooth of a ride with them!!! Well hopefully that helps you out on picking a set!!
