Have u tried the 14mm gen 3s? What are your thoughts?
@@pkcheng5556 I have no personally tried but a few of my friends have and they said it plays like a lowered powered gen 3 hope that helps once I get my hands on one I will be happy to reply back again

Good video! Awesome that you got it early and were able to test it out 🙂
The gold medal match was actually in the semis.
Could you review the new Ronbus Ripple coming out on 13th.
@@garygorgo3600 yes! I will have a review of it coming later this week stay tuned
@@Dinkkagepb man i wish one time buyer can just get them without all these member exclusive deals....i want ONE paddle not buy into the entire line up, but looking forward to what you have to say bro
Guys...? *sniffles* My 4.75 DUPR brother recommended this to me, said something about how I could have a chance now! Been struggling to actually get higher than 4th in my Men's 1.5- Doubles Ladder & Hot Goat Pilates 4AM League! No seriously though. My brother & I were joking about how I only like Six Zero's stuff. I've been waiting all year for this. Very excited to try!
@@markimusfilms haha definitely give it a try and lemme know what you think. That extended handle took me a little bit to get used to but once I did it was a game changer

Can you tell me what the difference is between Mod TA15 14 and 16?
@@LongNguyen-ks6tx I would say main difference is the 16mm provided better control and the 14mm had a bigger focus on power on the paddle
This is what old time reviews looked like, your opinion and feel. Nowadays thankfully we have people who break down the paddle specs with legitimate numbers. That's how a person can make a informed decision. NOT just your opinion..
not sure if i have missed it. However, how is the pop especially for blocking from fast drive? Assuming the 14mm has more pop than the 16mm, will that be over-pop and hard to control?
When you add your weight to the 14 mm everything will get better. Let me know when you add weight . It is a game changer!
@@wesmudd7947 I agree I’m so used to having a lot of lead on my paddle so playing it stock definitely made the paddle feel a little different for me
I had trouble with control and dinks when it was light. Now that it is a Mini Thor’s hammer it is incredible. You will be able to put more spin on all shots.
@@wesmudd7947 I’m going to play around with some lead on the paddle this coming week and see, I’ve been playing around with my 16mm a lot so I want to be able to commit to one paddle
Where did you put the weight on your paddle. And how much
@@pomper8366 I added 14 grams around the perimeter of the paddle starting just above the throat. Then I added an additional 5 grams at 3 and 9 on the sides. This is good for me. I am stronger I can handle the extra weight. I added the hesacore grip because it adds good weight to the handle and it gives me more control with my hands. That weight at the handle helps balance the paddle. It doesn’t feel heavy. This is the first time I switched to a bigger grip. I think this paddle is phenomenal! So my static weight is 9.3oz the balance point was +7 ( more Head Heavy) but the extra weight in the handle makes it feel much lighter. Every individual is different with weight. Find the heaviest paddle you can control and still have quick hands. My hands have not slowed down at all with this set up. More weight brings more power when you need it.
Which one hits harder? This or thé 16mm
@@leviforeofficial9559 thanks for the comment! I would say the 14mm hits harder
@@Dinkkagepb even on drives?
@@leviforeofficial9559 I would say yes as I played more with it, I got a better feel with the 14mm and allowed me to drive harder and pin point my shots better
my 16 hits harder
Great honest review!
You have nice way of returning slice with a slice shot. Does high grit help you do that or you are able to do it with other models?
@@yasim9435 I’ve always sliced returned with a lot of my paddles, honestly this paddle does not feel gritty to me but I am generating a lot of spin with it. I typically like the Hyperion shape better since it has more of a lighter head weight allowing me to cut through the ball faster
That is a great tip about keeping your finger in the right spot when cutting the overgrip. Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful! I’m not master as putting overgrips on but it’s what I’ve been doing for a while!
I'd be too embarrassed to show up to the courts with this paddle.
@@HeavyAndLow why is that ??
Cause your skills are utterly lacking and you’d be yet another 3.0 w a $200+ paddle?
@@kabob21 how would you know what people’s skills are?? I encourage everyone to try out this paddle or any type of paddle for that matter. Finding the right paddle is important to help build up your game
Great video! How to be one like the Dink Kagè!
Thanks! 😃hahaha yall are all better than me!
Love the Mod TA 15 16mm I tried going back to my Gen 2 Perseus and honestly it’s night and day difference! The Mod just plays better overall. Minimal effort is what I like about it! I can focus on shot selection.
@@Dougr5020 especially with all the extra free power! I think my favorite part of the Mod TA-15 is the look of it ! I was very hesitant to switch but now I’m glad I made the move to switch from my Gen 2 Hyperion ! I’m glad you’re enjoying the paddle !
I have been playing with the Mod Ta 14 mm paddle for 2 weeks. I also added lead tape and have it playing at 9.3 oz. Best paddle I have played with. Control is great and the power and pop are exceptional. I added a hesacore grip with 1 overgrip to help balance out the extra weight.
@@wesmudd7947 where do you like to place your weights ?? I prefer a slimmer grip personally so I load the grip with about .8 oz of lead and use 2 overgrips on it. I really enjoy the paddle so far! I was initially doubting about switching over but I think I’m sold on fully converting to the TA-15 ! The power and control on it are unmatched in my opinion, plus Joola has a great warranty system in place for the paddles. Hopefully the core will hold up for that long ! Thanks for Watching ! And commenting !

@@DinkkagepbI just got one today. Do you know how to connect NFC to authenticate it. Not sure how to do it
@@wesmudd7947 ahh very cool, I always like to see how people set up their paddles I put weight at the throat, the top and the grip so everywhere but the 3 and 9 o’clock it makes the paddle feel more solid especially on counters and I recommend it for players who are strong enough to wield the paddle at that weight!
@@ajinkyamehta707 thanks for commenting ! Yes you can see on the paddle face, one side will have a chip logo and with your phone unlocked, hover over that side of the paddle where the grip is. It’s a little finicky sometimes but usually you’ll be able to find the chip on the top 1/2 of the grip ! I hope that helps if you need more help with it please let me know I can try to make a video tutorial to help out !
I went from the GearBox Power Pro Elongated to the Joola Magus 3. The adjustment period was super fast because the Gen3 had all the same power (slightly less), more grit/spin + a larger sweet spot. So to me, it was playing like the GearBox, but with just a larger sweet spot. The pop and the ability to control was actually easier because with the GearBox you had to hit it pretty clean in order to make it work. The GearBox didn't like miss hits. What I found mostly was that I could shape the ball a little better and I had a noticeable decrease in miss hits into the net on softer shots. I just placed an order for the Mod TA-15. I prefer the Magnus shape and shorter handle as I don't use two hands, but it looks like they are not going to make that shape. It looks like they are going to release a Magnus shape soon, but that one is not USAP approved. It is approved by the other agency.
@@CarlosThomas thanks for the comment Carlos ! The gearbox is a pretty tough beast to conquer in my opinion! I was using a Magnus as well before it was banned I really liked the pop and control I had on it! I find the TA-15 to be just a toned down version of it in a Perseus shape ! As for the new Magnus shape coming I’ve heard similar rumors about it. It will be interesting to see how things shape out between the 2 approval systems in pb !
