(added a new preview Picture of the mod) In Addition to the flat wings (by bonafidepirate) i changed the V-Tail - the side view reminds me somehow of the Strix Goblin. Seems to be much more stable

I have not yet tested max range. So far 2.5km was no problem. I thinking 4km should be posible, too

Have not tested max distance yet. 2.5 km is no problem. I doubt that 7km can be reached in reality. But the range is very good as it is

I'm using SPracingF3 (with baro and magnetometer) flashen with INav (RTH). Quite easy to install - not much different from installing a quad

This is the onboard-recording but live view is the same Quality (At least at Fimware Version V01.00.0100. The following FW-versions incl. V01.00.0400 have some issues no sooth video and lower video quailty). So i stay with this FW untill next one is raleased

Yes there is an OSD in the googles incl. voltage

With INAV you can use RTH - actually at 1:05 min in this video i am testing RTH switch. There is an OSD displayed in the googles (voltage, ampere, signal strength, art. horizon, horiz. and vert. speed) but it is not recorded

Thanks for reply. That`s good range. Is that just video or you use occusync for control as well? As far I understand it is possible to connect 3rd party transmitter and FC to DJI Air system?

Correct. I have a SPracingF3 Controller with INav installed. SBus-signal is sent from RC over trainer port (cable) to the DJI Googles Re (wont work with the "older" Googles). And the Air unit is connect to the S-Bus Port on the flight controller. Video quality is recorded onboard with the same resolution you see on the googles. But when the signal is getting weak, the picture on the Googles will become "pixelated". Right now i am working on a 3d printed camera-dome with head tracking to controll the camera. Hope to geht this working soon (still waiting for a PPM-signal converter)

This is great. If it is possible to get range up to 3-4 km it is eliminating mid-long range transmitter and you get quality video in goggles. HD is what you want when chasing those clouds.

Ocusync itself is nearly plug'n fly. Just connect power, S-Bus and telemetry to the flight controller. Using the same profile in RC as with a regular receiver

I hope there will be a Ocusync groundstation with HDMI-out available somtime
