Looks good bro
@@axs7689 Appreciate it 🙏
Damn I have an E550 so rare to see an install
@@axs7689 Depending on what it is. The M157 is the same layout. You can use that as a blueprint. I did for the most part.
Hi. I have this grille and love it. Just curious, do you know where to buy the exact replacement lights? 2 of mine are halfway burnt out. Appreciate it!
@danweiss3439 I got this from Ebay. Just checked and they have the lights as well.
My tacoma goes harder than that 🤣
@Mishka_Adventures Not unless you have a 10 second Tacoma.
Nice rollers
@@ajimenez6246 Appreciate it 🙏
💀💀💀
U gotta upgrade the lights ASAP. Grill looks much better though
@courtlandtpalton3441 I agree. It's a company truck so I don't want to spend too much money on it.
Damn man i wish you did an install video
Hell yeah! Sick car, just the right amount of black💯
Appreciate it 🙏
4 speed a/t is fool. m/t is more fast
i timed it multiple times. thats 13 seconds. thats almost 5 seconds slower than regular. either you have it loaded full of heavy crap, or its fucked up in some way. get it checked up man, it should not be that way. with na mods i have mine going almost 6 flat to 60.
I gave it away. Someone else's problem now.
love it!
Then again you cant tell the difference anyways because they are all slow as fuck stock
I bet more than anything it's a clogged catalytic converter it's reving real slow in 1st gear and it has a loud bog to it. Bad problem on those 2.0L 4cyl motors if you don't change your oil it starts burning oil and it clogs it if the motor makes it that long. It shouldn't bog that loud if it has a stock air box.
It did throw a check engine code for that. I gave it away, so it's someone else's problem now.
What is that vacuum line connected to? Show the bov more in debt… and do you feel a difference in the engine
The vacuum line runs from the BOV underneath the intake box and connects to the MAP sensor tap. That's located backside of the intake manifold. There is no difference in the engine. I barely hear the BOV because my exhaust is resonator delete.
Who are you tuned by?
DME Tuning
Got there eventually
i have m278 also , have same exact engine sound as yours with the slight loud tick . Had a few shops say a bunch of different things as well as different dealerships . you having any issue with it ? hasnt seemed to cause any issues but is definatly louder than it was 10k miles ago
I haven’t had any issues thankfully. I drive it once a week and don’t put many miles on it though.
That's what they sound like
Were you get the grill from looking good
Thanks. Ebay Victocar-parts-8 was the seller.
Where did you buy it from ? I contacted vrspeed but they said there is bov for M278
www.vrpspeed.com/product/vrp-m157-m278-bov-kit/
Link to the one I purchased
What name of brend (blow off kit) ?how much costs?
I purchased it from VRP Speed. Cost around $1,000.
my elentre runs like that to mofos jus jealous we hit 60 in 2nd gear lmfao
🤣🤣🤣
Mines hatchback and runs like new , I'd give that a tune up ASAP
Changed the spark plugs, and it made a big difference. Actually, I'm giving it away though.
I have same issue imma give it a tuneup
Where is the mass air flow sensors?
If you're looking at motor. It's under the left air filter box toward the firewall.
@@supadave41 bet bro bc i got a code and im so busy with work ive left it sitting for like 3 or 4 months i need to go out and turn it on and go take it to the shop but I didn’t know if its something I could change myself
@@supadave41 have u changed it? And another question with the alternator or starter is that a pretty pricey job it didn’t need it before but in the future kinda would like to know the price on that
@JonathanHernandez-mq5zy The VRP BOV kit comes with an air sensor tap. Easy to swap. I have not done an alternator or starter.
@@supadave41 u got insta bro?
I have the black boost intakes and it sounds just as loud
With the hood closed. I don't hear the bov at all, to be honest.
I got the hatchback version in manual its kinda fast
New Elantra N turbo is the way to go. Fast, fun and loud.
U mean 3 days and 3 hours
the trans on these suck ass, some countries used these models as a police car lol the Elantra Sedan models (XD from 2004-2008). The engine however, it has decent power output, stock components can even handle turbo setups at low PSI (15~ max) Slowest chase of all time :P
I can imagine the crime rate in that country is high with the criminals getting away every time they're chased 😂
Bro give it some gas
It's a company truck limited to 100mph unfortunately 😕
Are you using thicker then recommended oil ?
No. Went to Jiffy Lube for it. On the verge of selling it
I use 5w-20 in my 06 Elantra gt(hatchback) when I change my oil
downpipes ?
No. Just a resonator delete.
Hey can I ask how you did this? I have an e550 also with a muffler and res delete but I wanna do this so bad, was it a chip online or a local shop?
@@supadave41 ??????
@SwizzTV Don't know how I missed that question. DME from NJ sent me a handheld programmer. Download the file from the car and plug it into a laptop. Email them and they email you back a file to upload to the handheld that you plug to the car to download the file to the cars ecu.
@@ukedition9405 Online from a local shop. DME Tuning specifically. You also have to let them know you want the burbles included.
There is something bad with the transmission, it took nearly 3 more seconds than normal for 60
It may be time to say goodbye to it.
Somethings wrong with your speedometer, I've owned one, it sounds fine and the speedo jumps at spots
That wouldn't surprise me. It was a free car that I've poured hundreds into getting it to run. It may be time to say goodbye to it. Lol.
Stock turbos? What's all down to it?
Everything is stock except resonator delete and stage 1 tune.

No. But it is straightforward on what goes where.
Do you have downpipe installed? Is it safe to have burble/pops tune without having it installed?
No. I'm stock except a resonator delete. Had this tune for a year now with no issues, thankfully.
How much was the tune and what company did you go with weistec?
So it’s just the resonators deleted? I deleted the resonators on my 2017 s63 and it doesn’t sound as good as this?
badass
Thanks.
I think there’s something really wrong with that second gear it took way to long to hit third lol
As someone who owns this car it will literally not shift if you are accelerating hard u gotta lift your foot a bit off the pedal if you want an earlier shift
Yeah I have the same car it shifts the same way, like the other person in the replies said you gotta lift off just before redline so that it auto shifts back

I think Hyundai are like that mine is a 4 speed and it had long shift points

Im about to order the kit for my CLS550, it says I have to send them the "Core" what is that? Any tips before I buy the kit?😁
They want the charge pipes from your car. I just bought used ones from ebay for around $50 each and sent those so my car wouldn't be sitting for a month without being able to start and drive. I'll look up the part numbers for them and send it to you in a few.
@Supadave41 Ok thank you so much🙏

@Supadave41 Thank you so much, I'm going to order the kit and send them those pipes and I'll upload a video and tag you
did u just add the bov? or is it the diverter valve kit?
I purchased the BOV kit from VRP Speed for the M278. For some reason neither this or the M157 engine has a bypass/bov from factory.
@supadave41 is that bad and should I put one on my car
Where does the vacuum line attach to? I got one myself and I’m trying to install it soon
The kit came with a MAP tap. It goes in where the map sensor is and has an extra small pipe sticking out to attache the vacuum line. They routed it under the intake and pinched it by mistake so it wasn't working at first. Then fixed it and works great.
@@supadave41 Thanks man appreciate the advice 🙏
Price for the job?
It took a couple of hrs and they charged me $350.
Very nice. Still debating if it’s worth it for me.
Researching M278 does not come with a factory BOV. Lead me to believe the turbos will eventually go specially the way I drive. So I invested in it.
@@supadave41it doesn’t come with one because it’s designed to release the pressure into the exhaust adding it doesn’t do anything except make a sound
