I love the idea of going for the Elemental healing in the red tree for a melee build and having guns as a fall back in tight spots. I'm going to have to try that out sometime. Your points about Ebb and Flow are very valid. Requiring the kill does weaken it quite a bit. It's not as much a problem when mobbing but like you say, it's a tall ask in many boss fights. For that reason, I think the melee build I showcase works best in co-op where you can enjoy the aid (or distraction) of a friend at times. The key when soloing bosses with it is haste and a side of fearlessness. Some bosses might take a few tries even then. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. My goal is to get players tinkering with their own builds. I'm hoping to give them a good jumping off point, but I hope they make the build their own when all is said and done. I also didn't expect to be so excited to try out a suggestion but, man, I love the slight hybrid concept.

@@Rad_Wizrrd We share a common goal. I've been doing this thing called challenge builds where I take a weapon or item suggestion and make that Item clear TMTD. It forces the use of unique skill trees and build ideas to learn more about the game and I try to explain why I did what I did. I get to build make and teach people how at the same time! That and people can enjoy a good slaughterfest!

@@Rad_Wizrrd The Overflowing scream of terror is the biggest example of a glow up. Did you know it effects bosses? It confuses bosses, like any boss. The impaler is one that I am definitely more appreciative after recording today. The boring gun was also freaking awesome! The hotfoot teddy is another. There are a bunch of items I enjoy more now that I've forced myself to learn how to use them.

To my knowledge you can keep going as long as you wish assuming that your Zoo is profitable. I restarted willingly once early on because I wanted to layout my Zoo differently but I've never been made to restart. Based on other management games of this type I've played I do assume if you go too far in debt that the Zoo will fail but this is the kind of thing that's a worry early in the game but once you have a grip on how it all works it's easy to make money. It's really all about not spending more than your Zoo can afford at a given time. There may also come a time where you've run out of space to expand or things you wish to add to your Zoo. You can still keep playing that zoo if you wish but you may find you want to open a new one. I hope this helps. If you have more questions I'm happy to answer them. 🙂

Nice! Thanks for sharing. I suspected this was the case, but I couldn't figure out a good way to test it definitively.

If we're talking in general (as in with gear) I think Moze is the most powerful followed by either Zane or Amara. Fl4k is also really strong though, I just feel he doesn't quite match Zane or Amara's potential in power level. The downside with Moze is over time she can start to feel more one note than the others. I guess power always comes with a price. Now if we're talking about purely fun factor Amara is probably my number 1 specify with a phase cast/run and gun build. With the exception of Melee Iron Bear build on Moze, that build is almost too strong though. It's tons of fun but it does wear thin faster. Zane and Fl4k do each have their own fun builds too of course. (I have a very fun build for a 4 person all Fl4k team. Maybe I'll make a video on it sometime.) Now, in case you're curious about how they stack up with no gear; I think most power is Moze. Mostly because after a certain level she's not much different than with gear thanks to Iron Bear. As far as most fun with no gear however, I think I'd say Fl4k holds that honor...at least, so far. I haven't done my Zane no gear challenge yet. ;) Love the question! if you have any more, I'm happy to answer them any time.

@@Rad_Wizrrd yea i was just wondering cuz me and my brother were thinking of starting a new run, (we have already played through it multiple times) and this time we are going to try and get stronger builds and do all the DLCs and stuff and take the game further, and I was just wondering who you would recommend we play? You obviously seem to know a lot.

@@kleptosmqck713 Well thank. I've played a ridiculous amount of the game, so I have well-formed opinions, but at the end of the day a lot of it comes down to taste. I think playing a character whose skills interest you is what's most important. Part of what makes Borderlands 3 so good is being able to play each character in several different ways. Each character has potential. If I was starting a two person playthrough today I think I'd want a Zane and an Amara personally. They're both a lot of fun and Zane has the best dialog in the game. But I'd encourage reading the characters different action skills before picking and going with one that seems cool and fun to you. Oh, and if you're not enjoying your build don't think twice about respecting. The in game cost to respect is minor and well worth paying. A different build can make so much difference in terms of power and fun if you're not feeling what you have.

There's a lot of cool stuff included in them. I did consider doing that before I started these challenges. To begin with they were going to simply be no gun challenges, but I started with Moze who technically has guns on her mech. In an effort to avoid the gray area all together I chose to do no gear. Looking back now I wish I had allowed myself classmods more than anything, but yes, no shield is probably the toughest part of these.

Oh wow, I had no idea there was a temporary damage buff granted by leveling. That's pretty cool. 😀

I’ve always felt BL is smooth sailing for a couple missions until it forces you to lvl up to continue. Maya and Sal have served me well. Jack/Tim on PS is crazy good but yeah BL3, even on all 4 characters the boss fights felt…more hard than they had to be. A lot of it was just running around sliding, waiting for health regen

I understand your frustration all too well. Are you playing solo? I know that jumps the difficulty up quite a bit unfortunately. Which character are you playing? Maybe I can offer some tips. 🙂

@@Rad_Wizrrd I play as either Roland or Lilith. Solo mostly. I like Lilith, reminds me of Anarchy Online(AO) and playing a Fixer. But Lilith can be squishy. I find myself running a lot. Mostly only to run into another group. HA HA. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy playing, even without others. It takes a while for Lilith to warm up with her skills. I have a bit of an easier time with Roland. Getting SMG's for Lilith is hard since Roland always gets the SMG drops. He's so greedy, can't even share.

​@ragebyte well, getting drops is just a matter of luck not character. I'd recommend to keep plugging with Lilith. Her invisibility skill comes in handy. Remember to do side quests if you're struggling.

If you want power upfront tho, to help you get to the early stages, brick is the best tho.

Hey, it's truly my pleasure. Recording this was the least I could do for this wonderful game and its fans. I was also an Ambra main. :) Though I'll admit I loved them all. I can understand that for sure. Spelunky has a charm all it's own also in much the same way Terraria and Cuphead do. It can be challenging but it's a lot of fun. I'd recommend for fans of those games.
