Stuck Tacoma Tailgate
2018 Tacoma Tail Gate wouldn't work after getting several loads of pea gravel. Took inside cover off to discover lots of small gravel - bits somehow get inside the tailgate and cause havoc. Remove the inside cover (easy) and wash out all debris inside of tailgate and latch mechanisms on the ends. Check and clean out drain holes at bottom of tailgate. Look for small gravel or debris in latches. Test the latch mechanism using a screw driver with the tail-gate down. Dry, lube, check and re-assemble.

Bee Careful. Capturing a swarm of bees.

My neighbor and I have started Bee keeping. Here we capture a swarm in his back pasture out of a fir tree. The swarm was up about 15 feet in the tree. Cal, my neighbor has just started building long hives this year. As of the end of May we have captured 6 swarms this year. Sorry for the focus problems. My Lumix GH4 is difficult to focus in bright light. Recorded April 2020.

Had to pry the plastic off the inside of my stuck tailgate with a piece of lumber. Sprayed the locking mechanisms with wd40, sprayed with car wash pressure washer. Smooth operation back!

Hi! I was hauling gravel and closed the tail gate. This was 8 months ago! I still can't open it. I took the cover off! I think the gravel is between the bottom metal of the tailgate and the bed! And that simply preventing it from opening! The handle to unlatch the side works and I can hear them click and the bed shifts just 2mm towards opening, but no more. It's stuck tight!
Just checking to see if you ever got your tailgate un stuck? The only thing I could think of is shooting some high-pressure air in there to try to blow something out. Most likely it’s got a rock stuck in the mechanism and it isn’t gonna go anywhere. One other thought is to maybe take a rubber mallet and beat the side of the tailgate trying to release whatever’s in the mechanism.
@@staffordvideoproductions5788 Thank you! I'm getting the latch grinded off from the inside. It's failed! I've ordered a new latch from Toyota dealership, but having body shop instal it for cheaper. Also their service is kinder and more enthusiastic about it than the dealership. Thank you for checking in. Just waiting on the part

Followed your suggestions, hosing debris (from firewood haul ) through cracks along sides, it opened! Then along inside track released some stuck chips and one rock, did not have to remove backing!!! Whew, works now and totally appreciate your informative tutorial (I'm a chick and wasn't sure if I take it as far as you did). Hallelujah and thanks again
Nice work! The center mechanism could probably be cleaned and lubed also. The inside panel is easy to remove.

Hey Robert, I felt like a child waking up on Christmas morning every day I would work on the boat. My neighbor helped in the assembly and his wife got mad at him for spending so much time in my shop. The hardest part was getting started. The Pygmy people were incredibly helpful when you have a problem or question. 45 lbs. Very quick boat.

Hey Jerry B , The only way to get to the water is to portage in. If you think I'm harassing the ducks you should see what the feral cats and fox do to em. Gulmp.
when did 25 feet become a portage? I've been there, done that as access is right by the parking lot. and now you're hiding behind wild cats? cheez!
