Make your own wipes using liquid witch hazel and baby wipes, they are cheaper and work much better than prep h or tucks. 👍
The dip and whisky are great ideas. Can honestly say I hadn’t thought of those before. Thank you
Everyone has a vice!
Great video, thank you. Will be going through it again and writing down some of the items you deal with. The documents is one that really got my attention. You never know if by the time you get to your bag you have lost your wallet with your id.
The document idea was actually the origin of the video idea. My buddy who lives near Asheville told me about it, and then we started talking.
@ I think I will place in my bag an electric bill and gas bill which both show my name and address. I’ll see what my wife can carry, maybe a bank statement that shows both of our names and address. Maybe also make some copies of driver license to show a picture. Once again I’ll got through the video and take notes. I was cooking dinner as I watched 😁 the first time. Subscribed by the way. Have a great evening!
Hey, you just popped up in my feed. I'm glad I stopped and watched your video. With a few exceptions, I didn't have over half of what you mentioned. Thank you. PS, I subscribed too.
Glad you stopped by, and very glad that we could look at what is in our kit and try and make it better!
I watch a lot of Go bag Get Home bag videos. Very few mention daily hygiene products. Some soap for a wash. Travel brush and toothpaste. A clean mouth boosts morale. Extra socks or an Extra shirt. Most of the bags I see have an empty weight around 5-6 lbs. Try an ultra light bag at approximately 1 lbs. That's an extra 5 lbs of stuff just to start.
I completely forgot about the mouth hygiene, I do like the disposable brushes for that. And I do love my light bags, ultralight backpacking has saved my back and knees!
Great breakdown of items mate, you had me laughing with "f-e-m-a deaf camp" (spelt wrong on purpose to confuse the aye-eye) and "control your destiny" comments. Keep up the great work 🙏🏻 🙌🏻
One can never be too safe with the machinegod!
@@TheTacticalWurst I fully agree - as they say, plan for the worst case but hope for the best.
Is this the short version? Like the sp9a3s
Yes it is, with the silencer it makes it the “normal” length.
@ ok thanks! I just received the srx3 hang guard today. Looks like it’s gonna be snug fit
Everybody complains about the price pf SKS going up but its just like any other military rifle out there. They go up in price when people notice something good! Cant even get a decent Carcano anymore with all the people collecting them and thinking they are gold!
I love my 10" FX9. Why anyone would buy the 4" I have yet to figure that out.
It’s a nice small package, but I get ya. If I find one at a decent price I would add it to my collection in a heartbeat.
😂😂😂😂.
LOL, you need a bigger optic.
@@XrayMike17plus1 I Do! But we run what we have, and I would rather spend money on amo vs a t2 or something.
I love the Bubba sks
I am the owner of the Stribog SP9A3G. It is coupled with A-Tec SMG suppressor. It is reliable with anything supersonic and with 150grain S&B subsonic. With 140grain S&B subsonics I have failures to load. Furthermore they are not rounded. It is more obvious with high capacity mags. We don't want to use weak subsonics with fully loaded high capacity mags and prefer rounded bullets.
Good to know, I was wondering if had to do with the flatness of the round I was trying to use.
I paid $89.00 for Chinese. Pre Brady. It still had the bayonet.
We did not know how good we had it.
The stripper clips from midway usa has worked well for me.
great as always
😯
got mines in 2012 for around $300, Chinese Norinco SKS
$113 in The tri county area around Detroit, 1993. Wish I would have bought two crates of them.

I saw one for $419 at Rural King yesterday.
Now that is a steal
Those new production clips are nothing but chinese mass produced crap. Get some surplus clips and those work so much better. Czech BXN clips are the best but russian, chi-com, yugo etc surplus clips will work fine
I’ll have to give them a look
What’s the name of that hand guard ????
Not sure the name but I believe that is what DD ships it with.
Another great video!
Sig 365 GANG 💪
Needs more 5.7
If only I knew someone, who had something in 5.7 or 50AE
No longer entry level with most SKS being higher priced than a budget but capable AR15.
Bought one a few months back for 500 flat. It was the 8 inch version, well worth it at that price point.
That’s a steal!
Why do people say 300blk ammo is expensive? I see it for $.60 a round-ish, same as .223. or are you guys buying .223/5.56 in bulk somehow and getting it lot cheaper? Cause 5-10c extra per round isn't the end of the world when we're spending so much money on guns and gear lol
Cheapest I could find locally was .75 I had limited time with it so I couldn’t order ammo and wait, but the price has come down to just a bit more than basic planking ammo.
Subs are expensive
Try leaving the flash hider on it or suppress it. That’s what it’s tuned for.
Yeah, mistakes were made
Why? "cos you live in the UK". This calibre is the ONLY calibre that's allowed to be semi auto in the UK.
@@ashleystyles6888 That is interesting to know, and why I’m glad I do not live in the UK.
@@TheTacticalWurst which is the exact reason you won't be buying a rifle in that calibre. We have firearms certificate air rifles here that are more powerful.
You can now get a name brand AR new for less than a used SKS.
In Canada?
I have seen SKS rifle often for $800
Yes in canada. 1700 for ar15 new from store.
@@dalanwanbdiska6542 That's Canada. Not here in the US. At least for now.
Nope it’s not the king anymore, the AR is king as it’s cheaper. The SKS is over priced now.
We can’t get ARs in Canada anymore 😢
Tell that to the gunstore that sells them for $1700 hahahaha. I can go buy one right now if I had the cash.
They are better without a paint job
Possibly but young me wanted to be “tactical”
I don't own any rifle or AR pistol chambered in 7.62 × 35. But judging by the size of this particular fire arm and implementing the 7.62 123 or 125 grain hollow point ammunition the weapon would be a little more practical than a 75 grain 5.56 hollow point for a close quarter defense scenario the heavier grain bullet at a short distance may do more damage and incapacitate a threat..better than a 75 grain weight projectial..it makes for a good truck gun or for when traveling on an ATV..just my opinion. .
Hollow point 125 grain 300 blackout does not have the velocity to expand or fragment. It will poke .308 diameter holes in stuff, but it "may" yaw a little. A 110- 125 grain TAC-TX or a 110 ballistic tip will expand though. The 75 or 77 OTM in 5.56 from a 10.3 will still be more terminally effective on soft tissue, but that is just because fragmentation >>>> expansion as far as tissue destruction. But if we are talking specialty ammo, then a 7.5 inch 5.56 with 62 federal fusion or similar expanding bullet, is no laughing matter either. You are talking 357 magnum energy levels with rifle velocity and an expanding bullet, as well as a 30 rd mag. Not remotely a nerf gun. Either will work with appropriate ammo for the barrel length in question. It is really a 9 vs 40 cal vs 45 acp type of discussion.
TY. Yeah they are used for deer hunting by many First nations hunters, for all the reasons you mentioned. I saw a package deal of SKS + 1000 rounds for 1500 Can. so I said no to that rip off.
1500 Canadian maple leafs? That is ridiculous, feel bad for my northern brothers and sisters.
@@TheTacticalWurst I know, the current government is afraid or something, and tax-happy on everybody, and everthing , and wants to ban them. I doubt they will win the next election for being so out of touch, an so stupidly liberal.
All the Natives I know hunt with a savage, remington, winchester. Never seen a another native hunt with sks other than me. Its what people think, thats how it was maybe 20 years ago but with all the $1000 under rifles natives dont have to hunt with SKS unless your a Inuit hunting seal or polarbear. Even them they use different weapons now. Sks is old, my buddy shoots 6.5 prc, not sks hahaha.
Ar 15 are still being used and sold at gunshops. Thats what they hunt with now, 223
Get yourself a Magpul buttstock, an Aridus Industries buttstock adapter and a Nordic Components 1301 extension kit. And do yourself a favor and lose the Eotech and install an RMR style red dot and keep it away from your ejection port. It will help you when preforming an emergency reload.
Unfortunately not my shotgun, but I think I would do all the mods you mentioned if I ever get one.
💯
The SKS ONLY made sense when they were less than $100 OTD from stores and the ammo was DIRT cheap. That hasn't been the case for decades.
They’re still durable, reliable, effective multipurpose rifles for a reasonable price.
@@Lakikano "Reasonable"? Have you bought one lately? Or priced ammo?

@@fatfreddyscat5173 thanks, as much as I’d love to be super polished and finished, but I can only do what I can do.
Where did you purchase this?
I did not, it is a friends and he let me borrow it for the RUclips.
Lift the tip of the top round while pushing down at the base to make stripper clip loading easier. Also, the Chinese clips on Amazon are hit and miss. I bought 20 last year and only about half worked worth keeping. Milsurp are the best. Yugoslavian M67 surplus on stripper clips are currently available, and they are really good. In fact, I got rid of the Chinese ones after getting these. However, be aware it has corrosive primers, so clean after shooting.
