so cheap is 450 plus i waiting to came from thomann.....i hope to like it!
Except I can really tell what your playin
Thought the Epi and Artist were very similar. HB had a bassier tone, in fact, for a bridge pick up, it was remarkably less "bright" (I'm listening through an amp with big speakers, so quite possibly that could have a slight bass bias that you may not be evident through, say, small PC speakers or through a smaller device).
๐๐ป๐๐ป There was a variation in volume between the 3 which I tried to match in editing. The Artist's PU is much closer to the strings, FWIW.
I have one in a collection of 20 guitars of all varieties and it is hands down my favourite, as soon as I pick it up I just fall in love all over again because it feels like it was hand made for me.

The worse intro to a musical instrument I have ever seen!
what is the price difference again? ๐คญ
Around $1200! Buy basically 5 Harley bentons for one of these Fenders.
magnifique merci Harley benton โค
The Fender sounds better to my ear, but only just. That Harley Benson is just crazy value for money
Epi definitely sounds better!
๐๐ป๐๐ป
The first mod you need to do is to repurpose the tone control for the 12 string volume control. I did that with Rev 1 and that made the guitar playable. Otherwise, you have the same volume for both necks.
Can you describe the procedure? I also want to buy this guitar.
Hi! I have an epiphone les paul standard plus top pro. Would it be right to sell it and buy a Sire L7V(p90)?
Only you can answer that question. Maybe try one out, then you will know.
Harley Benton is underrated here...
Where?
โ@@650thunderbirdI mean, Harley Benton is good... Innit? I have the Epiphone but... I want to get Harley Benton now...
@@fishingbear5538 I am a bit of a Harley Benton fanboy, truth be known.
You don't indicate which one is the Fender and which one is the Harley Benton... ?
Blue is Harley and red fender

La HB se nota mรกs aguda y le faltan graves!!la Fender suena mรกs grave y con mรกs cuerpo..de ahรญ su precio claro ๐
Is that fretboard a bit wide for you? I see your thumb coming all the way around the bottom of the neck.
Short thumb combined with a bad habit, probably.
Iโve got one of these and sheโs a beauty ๐ I swapped out the pickguard for a tortoiseshell, and named it the Bloody Mary ๐ Say does the cream binding look yellower in real life tho?
It looks pretty much as it does in the pics, cream.

Both nice sounding guitars

Agree that the SG is brighter. The LP is warmer by a bit but both sound really good! Cheers mate!

I have just recently got a non-relic, one of these, and it is really good, not just good, really good, I like it a lot
๐๐ป๐๐ป
Just received the TE62 db black and the HB p90 GT earlier today. The tele was perfect straight of the box, low action frets all level and surprisingly polished for a change, tuners smooth and to top it off brass compensated saddles straight from factory so no need to upgrade anything at the momentโฆ.I think both pick ups sound pretty good at this price point and will be staying put for now. The gold top otoh needs a few frets levelled also poorly cut nut with strings too high on the bass strings and the nut isnโt flush with the edges of the bindings and needs a longer size nut probably a 44 mm would fit better. The pick ups need shimmed with foam/springs as they are adjusted as far as can go and still miles away from strings so both sound weedy. Bit of a lottery with Harley Benton but all the issues on the gold top are fixable so pretty happy overall.๐
Hi, djangle, looks like you got the new version of the TE 62, their website is awaiting new images of LPB version. My GT had a few fret issues too IIRC, I guess we can't complain too much considering the low price.
Very true ๐
Both very similar. I really liked the bridge PUs on both - just the right amount of brightness - quite a contrast going from the bridge to even both PUs.
๐๐ป๐๐ป
You have a 1976 EG700T, I have a 1976 EG800T, has an ebony fret board and block inlays, your guitar is awesome, and so is the playing
NOTHING in it! However, BOTH had rather DARK sounding neck pick ups!
Thanks for the analysis, DMS, always appreciated ๐๐ป๐๐ป
@@650thunderbird YW!
I just got the Harley Benton today and the neck pickup sounds amazing through my valve amp.. It's got the fender quack and it's warm and rounded.
@@thewonderofyou1 Glad to hear it! You can't go wrong with a Tele style HB, mostly ๐๐ป๐๐ป
That HB sounds really good but I want the Artist
Considering postage from Germany to AU, assuming that's where you are, it's a no brainer ๐๐ป๐๐ป
The difference in sound is minimum.... hardly believable!
๐๐ป๐๐ป
Just ordered one. Look forward to it being a drop B doom stick
A subtle but definite fuller more resonant midrange for the Sire. Both would greatly benefite from a set of Lollars and PIO's.
Nice detail about the guitar, thanksโฆ but are we actually listening to this particular guitar being played or the one used on the backing track?
Backing track. You can hear a dodgy demo of this guitar here: ruclips.net/video/ROXOVsngndQ/ะฒะธะดะตะพ.html
Sound the same, HB definitely looks better.

Yamaha has definitely quality problems with these. I got my brand new Revstar RSS02T and it had an incorrect radius bridge , poorly cut nut and high frets all causing buzzing. It took a luthier hours just to make it playable and the Yamaha customer service is non-existent. I am left with a guitar with tool marks on the get board, cracked binding, poorly fitted nut and water in the paint. Terrible quality and quality control!
It is funny how I have read your comment on so many videos now that at first I thought many people have problems with this guitar but now I have instead memorized your name due to seeing it so many times! Sucks to hear about your guitar, hope mine's in better shape when it arrives later this week.
@ I want to send the message to Yamaha that their customer service needs drastic improvements. Of course, the Japanese quality in general is excellent and everyone can have a dud. The question is how do you deal with it. I worked for Japanese car manufacturers and know that Japanese customer service is not what we expect in North America and needs adjusting. Yamaha apparently has not learned this yet.
I would like to buy another guitar with P90s in them. I play a lot of classic rock, i.e., AC/DC, Boston, Beatles, Stones, 38 Special, Greenday, that kind of music. Can you recommend any guitar(s) with P90 Pickups? I already have a Gibson SG Special with P90s.
I don't recommend guitars because I don't consider myself good enough to do that. If I did recommend a particular guitar and someone bought one, and hated it, who would they blame?

Both sound pretty similar maybe the Artist had a bit more clarityโฆโฆ.do you think the Artist is worth the extra cost compared to the Harley Benton Thunderbird ?
I believe so, given the locking tuners, fret nibs, body shape and better bridge and tail piece.
Gibson flat.
Thank you my friend. That helped a lot๐
Thanks for watching and commenting ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Both nice guitars, very similar on bridge, preferred both PUs on the epi
Gibson makes very nice PUs, Joey. Considering the price difference (X5), it's to be expected.
Preferred the DG, good comparison though
Thanks!
WHAT was the name of that FF song?
This is a call?
@@650thunderbird It is or you're asking me?
@@DMSProduktions It's an attempt to sound similar.
@@650thunderbird I know, but I didn't know what that song was called, cos basically I can't UNDERSTAND a word Dave Grohl is saying in it lol!
About a BEE'S dick in it! Epi was a little bit brighter! TAKE the covers off! That will open up (sic) the sound a bit more!
When I break a string.
@@650thunderbird Haha ok. Esp those Bullbuckers, I found them a bit muddy, but once I took the covers off, they were much better! They're only thin pot brass!
@@DMSProduktions How do the covers affect the tone?
@@650thunderbird More treble response & less mud!
The Harley Benton sounds like a kid's wind up toy.
