We also talk about Freemasonry and the links between the LDS church and the Masons.
We go deep into old literature of the 1800’s and search for the evidence of these folks.
We also ask our viewers to read both books, so we can have a comprehensive conversation.

Hi Mormon Atheist, have you ever watched "Travis Wayne Goodsell's" Podcasts at all? He is an ex-Mormon. Check him out and let me know what you think of him and his potcasts.
I used to watch him. He lost me. He keeps saying he is the only person in the world that reads Paleo Hebrew, and he deciphered the Egyptian language or something like that…. He has some good info, but he’s kind of a whack job.

I think he is a narcissist big time. He believes that Joseph Smith was totally framed by Brigham Young and by the Danites.

The evidence is like pain or immense Joy , you can feel it , you can try to explain but can’t materially show your faith, your pain or immense Joy to another . You can have it , or not , but it’s invisible to the eyes .

One of the reasons I left the church is its treatment of gays. It’s so gross. Basic human decency, kindness and decency is what I try to ascribe to these days.

@TheMormonAtheist The dictionary was written by people or not called of God. If you read in the scriptures it clearly teaches that faith is acquired and strengthened by testing the Lord's promises to us if we Keep HIS Commandments. We will know in our hearts if it is true.
Blind faith is trusting why the Holy Ghost is sending you into Egyptian prisons to sing to inmates…. Blind faith is going when the bigger picture has not yet opened. Faith is acting on a prompting from a Holy Ghost you know is real but do not see, based on patterns you’ve already learned about how that communicates with you in life regarding Gods loving plan for you. Gratitude is when the ‘fruit on the tree of life’ for having excercised blind faith and faith in your testimony and being obedient and some sacrifice as well … brings you great joy on that journey and usually involves sharing Gods love to others.

Does not affect my testimony. the Richmond Cemetary was owned by and still is by the city of Richmond. We mow the lawn with agreement to the City. So where is he buried?
That’s a question for the church….. You must understand that Oliver Cowdry is a pivotal founding figure in church history, and he is not where the church says he is. So where is he? That’s a great question. Ask the church. The same goes for David Whittmer. It does however beg the question of what else are they lying to us about?

The whole reason I went there was to see for myself the gravestone of Oliver Cowdry. He is NOT there…. Ask the church where he is. How am I supposed to know where he is? He is a vital part of the Mormon Story, and he is not there??? I’m sorry to disappoint you, but he is not there…. Period. There is NO Oliver Cowdry or David Whittmer in that graveyard. I'm a fellow apostate. Hannah Stoddard from The Joseph Smith Foundation and other apologist claim they've dug up the Smith family farm tax records to disprove the claims that Joseph Sr. Was a bum and a crappie farmer. Have you looked at their sources? Maybe that's a place you could go. Maybe you'll come to the same conclusion. I don't know.

You keep saying Pacific meaning the ocean, when at the time before they even got to the west coast/Pacific Ocean, it's more probable that they are using that word in the common use of that time meaning "peaceful" people, and peaceful vineyard, etc
These are Brigham Young’s own words. In 1866. I don’t assume anything. This is what text says, by William Dixon. A historian of the day. The word “Probably” makes me skeptical when talking about history. He refers to the Pacific Islands a lot throughout the book. It’s Brighams own words.

As far the “originals”, idk…. The ones I have I got from The Church of Christ. You can order them. Call them and ask. I got mine from them when I visited them. It’s called The Church of Christ at Temple Lot in Missouri. They are super friendly and great to talk with.

I think there is more to this. I enjoyed your show. Heber Kimball and Young were Scot Mas. and William M was yrk. JS sr. was also York from what I understand. It seems to me that one group was seeking to infiltrate or override the other. Yrk were backed by powerful forces overseas seeking for control from what I understand. It was a mess and always has been. Washington was a member too.

I think that Folk Magic is a simple term that refers to occult practices which include but are not limited to: Solomonic Magic, Hermeneutics, planetary and celestial powers, Zoroastrianism, Kabbalah…. It’s much easier to simplify and lump them all into, folk magic. In Joseph’s time that’s likely what it would have been called especially by those who did not believe in its power and frowned upon its use.
