I almost never use references for any of my fight scenes and none of the fight scene in this video was refrenced. That being said, I watch a lot of anime and often study the fight scenes in my free time when I'm not animating. I also strongly advice people to use references and I will never encourage a beginner to animate complex scenes without refrences

@@animation_craze use references. Copy an image you're interested in as much as possible, then try to draw it from memory. The more you do, the better you become

@@animation_craze maybe. But that's not a path i recommend. Because tracing animations (or rotoscoping) is very cumbersome and restrictive.
