It had no strategic value, it did not improve his attack or serve any other meaning then simply a matter of honor. He willingly "retreated" a single step for the Lizardmen who had fought so hard and sprang such a great strategy against him. (Zaryasu used his own blood to cover Frost pain, so it would be slippery. Hoping Cocyutus would grab it again and not be able to keep his grip due to the slippery blood) Its a small detail I would never have noticed just watching the anime alone without reading the novel.

Ulbert made Demiurge, Touch Me made Sebas, and the creators always bickered, so yeah, their creations bicker too. Also, Touch Me's family was well off while Ulbert struggled irl. Apparently Touch Me and Ulbert had an argument that ended their time in the guild. They basically handed over their treasures, including world items, and dipped. Just made me nostalgic because I remember a couple of dudes I used to hang out with from church that I kinda don't anymore, and it's about the same situation. I'm pessimist and struggle irl while those dudes are doing well in life and are optimistic. We don't see eye to eye on things anymore. Shame
