Ego string trimmer review 2024 first time user not combination version
Просмотров 424День назад
Had my son try out the Ego trimmer I have had awhile now about a few months. It takes a lot of getting used to. Especially the opposite spin of the head versus my Stihl trimmers. Also there are some blind spots to it especially using it upside down to edge. It’s very hard to do. But the worst aspect so far is getting more string to come out. It’s almost impossible to get more string to come out...

Who let this 12yr old get all those tattoos?

@@garylentz5504 probably the goal
Cuts the grass like a teenager for sure 😊
I have the LG 52 and kills it for me
How much do you love it?
I live in VA and just got a 61 also. Its better than I imagined it would be. We have some decent hills around here and it climbs around great. Good luck with your business.
I just demoed it I will probably buy one I fell in love with it
Never reuse an old oil filter. New oil AND filter is cheap insurance for an expensive engine.
Cuts fast being it's so wide😊
Lot of ink on that baby
Awesome
Where did you purchase the mulch kit from? Maverick
So my guy at ace hardware got it ordered for me
Lazy !!!!!!!!!!!
lol it was actually genius I moved everything in 80% less time come on it’s not lazy it’s efficient AF!
Can't hear you!!
Long wet grass? If you have to,raise deck & double cut. Don't let it get long again if you can help it.
I actually have cut 3000 houses since I posted this so I know a lot more now
Hello,🌺🌺 May I share the best news you've ever heard before?🌻🌻 Jesus Christ came from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He was and is holy. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days. And then, the Heavenly Father raised Jesus (Y'shua Ha Mashiach) to life! He appeared to people and went back to heaven. If we want to truly be a child of God, we must genuinely receive Jesus. John 1:12 says: "But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." Will you truely believe on Jesus and genuinely receive Him into your life right now?
Already have many years ago
What’s the tire size?
Unfortunately it was stolen from me so I can’t get it right now unless I go to a Scag dealership
I'm in my 3rd season with a 34" timecutter. My only issue is the cost of the bagger kit!! $900.00 for plastic and 200 lbs of metal plates for counter weights that you will never use.
Yeah I just do a mulch kit on mine. If I need to bag I use my push mower to do it.
Kiwis don't get excited.
the wheels were already put together though???
"pull up to the function but wear something lowkey" Me and bro:
The way to fix those arms is to not buy from a hardware store! Dealers offer competitive pricing. I know cuz that's the route I took when I bought my 50 inch. Easy Ride adds appx.$500 yes, those tires can suck at times. Bottom of filler tube to fill tank. No higher.
Great job showing and telling, about what you did and going to do and what can go wrong. Thanks again for showing see ya next time see ya bye.
I have a Toro sw5000 timecutter zeroturn which has a steering wheel, instead of the stick steering. My wife loves it, I hardly ever get to mow with it lol.😂
this video has me regretting buying a QuikChute. Mine arrives tomorrow, and I hope to God it doesn't go like this.
next time shorten your straps. I had this happen on a 8% slope.
The scag blades work out for you?
They did on dry at Augustine only so I got Scag blades for 36” new ones that are much better. The 32” left parts uncut
Sorry not 36” blades I just got new blades for the toro from ace hardware the gator blades cuz I have a mulch kit. The high lift normal blades crest too much suction on the 50” and they get wrecked faster with a mulch kit so honestly you need commercial Scag blades if you can get them for this mower cuz the ace ones eat up too fast and need replacement so does random blades mower shops give that are like gator blades. I might get new Ballard blades again next
@channel22r52 Thanks for putting them to the test haha giving some awesone data points! Good to know for sure.
Got back from the army an couldnt wait to install intercooler 😂😂😂
Facts
My only problem with these mowers is the belts! I think the mower deck belt wears out quickly actually stretches till it's too lose. And the fans on the hydro drive motors bend over time and knock the v belt off!
The parking switch is the stupidest thing always going out to the point I need two lawnmowers now. The belts are weak the brake a lot. The arm switches suck too they fall out I had to zip tie them in place or use a jump wire soon for it. The tires always get flats too and wear funny. The air filter is dirty daily. The weight distribution is poor you have to go downhill backwards only. The seat adjustment doesn’t lock in place always moving. The pto switch is starting to be intermittent. The hydros could be better to go to reverse. A lot of annoying things. I won’t buy another one.
did you put foam filter over stock paper air filter?
Yeah it’s still there I wash it once in awhile to clean it then I tap the metal filter on the tire until all of the dirt is off then I blow with my air compressor then reinstall it. No sense buying a new one it’s reusable
Sorry, you’re going in the wrong direction, plus… that method takes way to long. Not efficient at all. With a weed eater ALWAYS work left to right. That’s the direction it’s spinning.
This one spins counter clockwise and I had the time plus the customer really didn’t want much in her pool so I went slow. The wind was also blowing a certain way so I had to go backwards.
what kind of grease did you use to end up fixing this?
So I went with the red high heat color from I think AutoZone or Oreilly but then I went to a lawn shop called Oviedo mower and got the tube since it’s drop in for my grease gun that I got at ace hardware. It’s easier to load. The other one was in a wide cylinder that I had to use a spoon to load my gun a scoop at a time which is annoying. My recommendation is get the cheapest grease you can find in tube drop and load in gun and never check it until it’s actually out cuz it will explode everywhere. I eventually started to just put gloves on and manual rub the wheel bolts cuz the Zerg fittings don’t work on this mower. They are junk.
Yeah i ended up getting a gun and the zerk fittings are horrible. Thanks for the help.
Be very careful about getting water around the throttle cable because they are notorious for rusting very easily and breaking . Just an FYI because you seem like the type of guy that takes care of his equipment .
I actually haven’t looked at the throttle cable yet. It’s been acting up some days. It will shut down after startup once I try to move out of park. I have to turn the blade on first to trick it not to turn off then move it out of park then turn the blade off. So weird. Some days it needs this technique and some days no issues. Keep in mind I have a new parking module since the oem one failed already. A new one was installed same oem one. Hopefully it’s not gonna fail again
@@channel22r52 Good Luck !!
They just look home made a contraption
The wheels and red tires flatter that bike to no end. Nice bike.
It does go low a lot how do you know this?
The front wheels need to be greased
Yup this is an old video. I have cut over 1500 homes with it now in over a year since. It still does it a lot has to be greases a lot it’s actually annoying still.
Pretty dang for the first time on one. 👏🏻
NEVER use fix a flat! may as well buy new tires and rims. just ask chickanic!!
Unfortunately I had to use one just recently the air kept coming out and the ace hardware version of tire repair goo was not working properly so I bought the real fix a flat and it worked real quick
So far no issues since I used it. I only put in like a quarter of the can
That was painful to watch... and yes, this machine (and probably most zero turns) can be dangerous as Hell on hills, going up or down). I came close to killing myself trying to go up a steep hill one day and losing power. I am more experienced now, so no problems since then. But still, wet grass is bad and wet grass on hills is deadly.
Yikes!!!!
That person did a lot better than I did my first time out! 😁
Me to. !!!
Those plastic pulley covers are absolutely worthless on this machine. They kept getting damaged and falling off my machine and I finally threw them away. No one seems to run with them after about the first 3 or 4 mows. Sad that Toro didn't make them out of something stronger and tie them down better like on some of the older machines.
Sorry for not responding sooner but yeah mine were taken off long ago but it might have kept my belt from getting hit with sticks. It snapped one day since I am stupid not knowing to fire up the pto in low speed each time and then gradually increasing the speed up. I used to pop in full speed always. That really reduced the belt life. But I did make it a year. Idk if that’s good but one belt a year is worth it. Gonna do it on my bday from now on to replace belts. Drive belt probably needs changed now too.
Does the mulch kit work well and leave a nice finish showing? Can you mulch leaves in the fall and keep up with them with a mulch kit! Thanks !
Yes it looks perfect with mulching blades. And yes I never bag leaves
So with the switch that you showed being exposed does that mean you can’t wash it with water because it would burn out the switch?
I think that is the issue if it gets wet it needs time to dry or it can get damaged and has to be replaced
This is true. Even if you have a small hill I wouldn’t get one. I almost went through my neighbors fence. It wouldn’t slow down and or turn. It slid. It’s a heavy machine with a heavy deck. I also have weights on the front because I have a bagger system.
I just don’t understand why there is no emergency brake on front wheels of some kind. Even a bike type brake system would be good or anything. The tires in rear are also way too small.
Question do you have a mulch kit on your mower I don’t see any grass coming out?
Yeah I do actually and it’s the best. Just have to get new mulching blades under it often vs regular blade which work ok but not the best for it
I’m trying to figure out psi tires on this model. Manual says 30 front 13 rear. Web says 10rear 14front and a toro dealer says 14rear and 20front
Honestly it’s kinda learn as you go but definitely 20-30 front and 8-12 rears is best. 14 is too high it will wear the middle down and on wet grass obviously lower is better
@@channel22r52 thanks for the fast reply yeah I have some steep inclines in yard so I will try 20front and 10-11 rear
@@blacksrt3791 I ran rears with no air at all for grip once it did ok in wet
Wow, it sounds really good, I’m gonna make a automatic Type-R out of the new hatchback civic, add the 3.5 Honda Accord V6 Engine, a TOMEI extreme catback exhaust system then high flow Catted downpipes & test pipes. So I’m hoping aFe has it. Then imma put a tune, a supercharger & a cold air intake, maybe a turbocharger idk yet. Imma also add the bucket seats to it to the build. So seeing this makes me real happy, I know when it’s done imma be getting people to film shots of the car for the REVEAL VIDEO for RUclips & IG!!
Thanks for the video. You can add a cheap hour meter for Amazon $27. I did from day one it's plug in factory? Also I got the Led light kit also plug in. I'm a newbie i think the reason i started to slip down the slope is the tire pressure might be too high max is 25 psi rear front is 14 psi.
No it’s not you this thing can’t go downhill forward trust me. You have to go downhill backwards and uphill forward that’s it. It is just aweful not having brakes on this thing and the tires have no grip. I think 10psi in rear is max to get even wear depending on your weight too. The front put as much as you want I don’t think it matters. Too low in front it has issues. The hour meter to me is useless if the oil is dirty I just change it. A light kit I might but I don’t think I need it.
You keep washing it you're going to have some more problems.
LOL!!!!! 🤣
It does seem that people who leave them outside year round do experience xtra problems . Over time moisture is not your friend when it comes to this mower .
I just purchased the 75750 only for my home. I couldn't believe it! I almost landed on the street on a decline! I used it for 1.7 hours being very careful operating when I turn left to go back it just slides like ice down the hill. Our yard is mostly flat except for the front with a slope of more than 10% in front that I tried to stay away from. I was ready to jump off to the left. I locked the brake quickly thank God no damage!
Literally what I have been telling people but they don’t believe me. This thing is a runaway train. Keep arms and legs in or jump off it
Watch my new video I just put up
Thank you for your review. I just purchased a 75750 50" only cut once and was going to get the mulch kit now I will not. I will be looking out for those wires on the parking brakes.
