@berwickspotter Superb. I had to make a dash down the platform from The Sheffield Tap, when I heard the announcer say the train ariving at platform 5 was not for public use. Just caught this video if it arriving, one of the 66 leaving light engine, followed by a mad dash to the other end of platform 1 to video your departure. Proper video madness.

@CallySleeperKid You got that the wrong way round, 45407 spent the summer at Fort bill, and 44871 came to deputise for 45231 which had failed. The St. Rollox numbers where a mistake by the owner, who referenced his previous purchase when ordering, forgetting his last purchase was for the Jacobite photo charter the previous year, but he quite likes them so theyve stayed on.

@Calyeman 44871 has spent the summer up at Fort William on the Jacobite so that may explain it. 45407 joined for Octobers running as cover for another failed Black 5.

It looked like 44871 cab number was the larger version as painted by St.Rollox works and she did have a 65J (either Fort William or Stirling) shedplate

Waited at Lockwood for it for an hour but went home freezing cold after giving up the wait.

@60103Henry Just a little disappointed with all the moving around but I was trying to avoid people, with a bad outcome!

@jimmyowl1992 I would expect there to be good snow most of the time during the winter months, in fact according to the weather there is some snow floating around this week, but through December and January id be very surprised if you didn't see any, especially as there is plenty of skiing to be had up there.

great video, how often is there good snow during the winter as im hoping to make it up there this winter or next?

@70chips Yeah, its a shame they were there, but not much I could do about it, its a good job you can't pick up some of the rubbish they were talking about, I was worried about that but the 37 did a great job of drowning them out!

Those two shouldn't have been down on the line without HVV anyway... And if they were something to do with the black 5, they should know better...

@scottm16 Yeah, they were something to do with the Black 5 I think, I'm sure they were on the footplate later on, but it was obvious I was filming and they still wandered down and stood there yapping on about pistons, valves and what not. Shame really but these things happen.

Nice video, 37676 has been a favourite of mine up here this year. Shame those 2 guys felt the need to stand in front of you.

@hstscotsman Yeah, I guessed as much, we had a 20 odd minute stop at Glenfinnan, and this happened twice, I got a still the first time and this video. Tried to post a link to the photo but it won't let me, The collection can be found on my Photobox site, the link is on my RUclips front page.

@steveaki13 Its a lovely place, Went there to visit the distillery in the middle of winter, a foot of snow on the ground and we were caught in a driving snow storm on the walk back to the station, I loved it!
