Couperin hace del clavecín un verdadero lujo tímbrico, descriptivo e imaginativo merece el calificativo de " el grande" que se le suele asociar. Buena versión.

Thank you for posting this piece! It helped me to prepare it for a program I played at the Cathedral of St. Mary in Cheyenne, WY in 2021. It's hair-raising! This piece was one of Mildred Andrews favorites, too. She was Professor of Organ at the University of Oklahoma. My biography on her life was recently published with Wayne Leupold Editions 🎶

Of course, Liszt's grandfather Georg was a church organist and teacher. Unfortunately, as with Liszt's father, Adam, it was impossible to make a substantial income. Georg managed farms until he was sacked for borrowing the farm cart to go to his 3rd wedding. Adam was an excellent cellist and possibly a very good pianist- Liszt's teacher, who often performed for Haydn and possibly Beethoven. Perhaps its this history that persuaded liszt to democratise classic music. Transcriptions to bring classics to open concert halls rather than private palaces. It made him a pop celebrity and millionaire.

Utterly ruined by the poor dynamics of the recording! I know this recording and it's not how it sounds originally. If it wasn't bad enough having constant interruptions from the philistines at U tube advertising rubbish.

I was utterly convinced when I first heard this on Radio 3 in the 1970s when GW was in her 30s. Had no idea who GW was or even who wrote this astonishing virtuoso organ music. Will go to my grave in awe.

I can't believe Ms Weir even sat at the console of this collection of dull sounding tin and wood. I have children's electronics toys with better tonal quality than this monstrosity.

It feels too fast to me. It sounds best played a little more slowly in a big cathedral, for which this Romantic piece was probably composed.
