Fighting Forest Fires near Chalillo Dam

A few weeks ago, we went to help with the forest fires near Chalillo dam. Our priority was to keep the fire away from the dam, the powerlines, and the surrounding buildings. Thanks to the help from bulldozers, willing workers, and a helicopter, we managed to stop it from reaching the dam. Luckily only a broken arm, so not too expensive to fix.
indeed flying with others is key to the hobby imo, being able to experience and talk about stuff is huge for learning and enjoying it. (also love tree tunnels like the one at 3:10, so fun!)
Couldn't agree more! There's actually a longer one on the other side of the par we were flying in. But we had to leave some fun for next time.

I love that park. I've visited Spanish Lookout several times and always make a trip to the park. Amazing what your community has built there.
We were really lucky that the playground was empty. Normally it's full of kids. But it's is a great place to fly. So many things to fly around.

Yup, slowly I'm learning how to photograph inside caves. Hopefully next time will be even better.
Coming out of the cave looked really nice, especially the pine trees in the back.
Sure was beautiful. Need to go back to that area with a proper camera and get a print out of it.

Not sure if I quite get the picture of the falls, but it looks like there are several falls close together. Wondering what the combined altitude drop is from top of the first to the bottom of the last.
The total drop is around 260 feet. There's 4 "major" falls in that short series, starting at the top they're 16ft., 30ft., 69ft., 150ft. The 150 feet includes the double falls at the bottom. These measurements are based on a laser rangefinder.
