2 things I didn’t know until this video, I had no idea it got rereleased as the Imperial Cruiser and I always thought the prisoner restraints were some kind of “night vision” or “Super Scope” ,they always show it on a Stormtrooper so I figured it was something for them to use. lol Even though it was never in the Original Trilogy, I loved this toy for some reason, even if it wasn’t being used in my current story, it was always nearby for the sound effects! I think it was season 1 of The Mandalorian, when this rolled up I was overly excited and had to explain to my wife why I was so happy about this vehicle that was literally on screen for about two seconds! lol

I never go out to eat unless it’s a first date or something they never make it as good as I make it for myself. As far as subway goes I went there once asked for a Italian hoggie guy says what do you want on it I said a Italian hoggie again he asks what do you want on it ok Mayo, ok and what else? nothing I want an Italian hoggie , he says I don’t know Italian hoggie. So I tell him all the stuff to put on it pay and go to leave he says tip tip tip I look up and there’s a big jar with tips written on it. I tell him I’m not tipping you if I have to tell you how to make a Italian hoggie if your JOB is to make hoggie’s for a living. So he starts saying a bunch of nonsense I give him the bird and walk out. First and last time I ever went to subway.

Tipping is strictly for a business to be able to pay workers extortion rates below minimum wage! You see people working for nothing because they are a tipped worker's only there is no guarantee they will get tips, especially on a slow day! Every tipped worker will tell you how they were cheated out of tip money by the business as well!

Yep, your right. I go to Papa Murphy's pizza. Take home and bake you own pizza. Pay with a card and it asks you for a tip. I still have to go home and and bake the thing. Go thru a burger drive though they don't beg for a tip. They don't need a tip. But I do tip 20% plus if I am waited on. And that pisses me off since eating out is sooooo expensive.

Worked as a baker and never saw a penny from tips that the food servers got. That was a long time ago but I'm sure it isn't different now. Yes, tips should be shared with the staff.

Totally get what you are getting at. I am on a very fixed income from disability so rarely go out to eat at a "sit down" restaurant. This year it will probably be just for our anniversary. Thanks for the heads up on the 30%. Ever since the expectancy was 15% and I felt like doing the math, I'd give a little more or as much as 20%. I used to work at a car wash and always appreciated tips so I'll toss them a buck or two depending on how many guys are actually touching my car. I also have worked at a Pizza place and being outside of the city there is usually a leaner crew with less people standing around doing nothing so I'll toss a buck per person. It's typically $5 at the most. It helps them remember the flavored crust or light sauce requests. 😆

I think if tipping were abolished the price of the food/drinks would go up even more to the point where it might be cheaper to just tip and the service might also suffer as servers have lost their motivation to do a good job but I just circumvent the whole thing by not eating out like I said in my previous comment.

i don't like tipping so I don't go out to eat. Restaurant food is too expensive as it is so I don't want to pay any additional money to have it brought to me. If I do go to a sit down restaurant on the rare occasion I'll tip 20% though because its the socially acceptable thing to do and for better or for worse they are relying on tips as their income. I don't order delivery food for the same reason, I have a car and if I go there I can verify the order is correct. If its the kiosk thing where they ask for a tip on checkout I'll always skip, I'm not being waited on and I had to drive to get there so at that point I'm just buying the food.

I still have one or two of those 12" figures. I definitely have the TIE Fighter Pilot, still. I don't worry about them not being worth much, because they weren't that bad for $20 figures. I've also purchased some of the higher end Sideshow and Hot Toys figures, the ones that sell for around $200-$500 each; but I've found that my expectations on a $200 figure are much much higher than they are on a $20 figure. So much so, that I'm far more likely to be disappointed by the $200 figure than I am by the $20 figure. Generally, though, I just don't have enough space to be collecting large numbers of 12" figures.

I just avoid going to places that expect me to tip. If I go to a new restaurant and find that I'm expected to tip, I'll leave whatever spare change I might have available and do whatever I can to avoid eating there again. If I'm expected to tip BEFORE I even receive my food/product, then I will definitely avoid that business like the plague. If you're reliant on my generosity to survive, then too bad. Maybe you should just find a better job.

I tip over tip bartenders , usually 25 to 50 % depending on the bill . There is a two fold reason for this . First it aids in getting the bartender to remember me and secondly I've seen so many times people sit and drink all night and leave like 2 dollars on the bar . When I go out to eat I leave a 20% tip . When my wife was alive she was a firm believer in the 1 penny concept . That is if you get really good service you add a penny to the tip and if you had bad service all that you left was a penny ( she was an experienced waitress ) . I do feel that they should be paid better .

Having formerly been a "cook" at a restaurant, the general concept is good, but then you have those lazy workers that do next to nothing. And I love the idea about giving everyone a livable wage but that's not something the owners would go for because they would lose alot of money; therefore raise prices to offset their costs, making eating out super unaffordable

It’s getting out of hand. Every time my wife and I go out to eat the “tip” is getting ridiculous! And a lot of the service is getting worse.

Your not wrong Bruce. All in all I am sure everyone has thought of this. It would be a simple solution for restaurant owners to pay a living salary. Then the waiting staff would stay longer at their job and perform better not having to worry if they did an extra good job or not in hopes of a tip. Not tipping would eliminate the "math" at the end of the meal for some, lol.
