Killer track...very early.
🎉
Fantastic!
One of their best songs..ever!
It's the dogs bollocks of a song... 😎
I tried for long can not do it he got a gift
Mr thunder thumbs
All the famous songs are brilliant
Mark king is a master
I'm love level 42
I'm filling Bass
I'm trying myself
Love mark and level 42
Brilliant
He always seemed a reluctant guitarist in the limelight. Rest easy Boon, no more suffering.
The only band where the lead guitar doesn't lead & you accept it.
So when Mark messes up,....blame the bass,.....lol.
Boon was playing like he never left the band,..........stellar! R.I.P. Boon! This night was the closest that we ever got to an original Level 42 band line up.
I was standing right there
Don't blame the bass, Mark.....hahaha
What's up Bratha, sounding sweet! 🤗🎶🎵🥁😇👊
Love level 42 total legends 🎉🎉❤❤
This song is so underrated, I love Mike and Level 42!! 😀👍
Lorrrdy that's shocking 😂😂😂😂
RIP Boon
Mark king is a legend and always will be I’ve still got my trace Elliot rig and the sound always reminds me of the king
Magic. Absolute magic.
Love Level 42
I actually play a little bit of this riff as part of my warm-up exercises on my own bass. Mark King got me into the bass guitar in the first place, so it's always fun playing some Level 42 stuff.
Thought it was nathan at first from this angle
Whole video please ASAP! ❤❤
A man and his machine.
We were there that night....What a brilliant show. 😊
Mark King making mistakes and getting lost. Never seen this before. Sad to see
All geniuses have flaws
I don’t think he’d played this song in a very long time. some people have off days
They haven't played that tune in a while. Hey when you're a dad/husband first, and also a professional musician/entertainer (sometimes first, sometimes last) shows like this are great. You can tell they were just having fun between rehearsed songs in the shows setlist. No biggie
I'm never sad with this band. Even the Beatles messed up occasionally.
Boon looks so happy to be back on stage with his old pals Mark and Mike again one last time. You'd never guess that he suffered from depression for most of his life and would be diagnosed as bi-polar. It's such a shame what happened to him and the sudden and unespected news of his tragic early death was a huge shock to everyone. He is sorely missed. Rest in eternal peace, Boon.
PRB shitting all over it as usual, so annoying.
Boon made it look so easy the man to his left made to look like an amateur lol
Yeah great sound on his JD Supernatural Series I Bass Guitar but I also saw something I've never seen Mark do & thats lose his place on the fretboard & hit a quite a few wrong aka bum notes to the point he ends up looking straight towards his fretboard & Mark rarely does this... Also , was there an issue with his mic as I think he started to sing " Love Meeting Love " but I could barely hear Mark's own actual voice... Well let's hope it was a case of it happening in " 3 In A Row " IF your not sure what the latter means it's something we say in my country that when 2 problems happen almost within a certain spacing of time , we hope it doesn't go to 3 , as thats always been classed as bad luck... .....
What a sound ❤
Did you know Mr bass is left handed but taught himself to play right handed..best bass player iv ever seen...seen level 42 a few times
I really like that line up with Peter Ray Biggin and Marks Brother in the band.👍
Here's a little bit of trivia for those who are in awe over Mark King & his bass talent! " Mark is naturally Left-Handed yet he plays on Right-Handed Bass Guitars " When i heard about this many years ago I naturally put it down to the fact that he played drums for years , before going on to pick up a bass guitar & I had this confirmed from another bassist who as far as I know , has met him Mark & has the photographs to back it up... No as far as I know the bassist I've gotten to chat with didn't pay extra for a All Pass VIP treatment... Which usually sees fan's being aloud to see the band members/talk to them & have pictures taken along with other all access passes stuff but it can vary as some bands do this before they play Live but it's not unknown for it to happen after a gig... But I'd put my money on before they go on stage to play Live as those Stage Lights alone can cause any band members to sweat profusely & of course they'll just want to chill after a Live Gig... You can look this up on the internet with regards to Mark King being naturally Left-Handed , as drummers tend to use unorthodox methods when playing drums & there's also the fact of playing with 2 sticks & Floor Tom , & Mark never really stopped to think about it & he'll always being an amazing bassist/song writer/drummer/percussionists & plays other instruments , but I pretty much think that for someone who can play a right handed bass guitar the he does shows you how talented he is... As far as I know I don't think Mark has been classed as ambidextrous , but I could be wrong!.. I forgot to mention incase there's fans out there that don't know this & that is Mark fully intended to play drums in a professional band but once he saw & heard Phil Gould plsy drums he knew he was in the presence of a truly amazing drummer & decided to put all notions of becoming a drummer in a professional band but he still plays on the drums when he has yhe tome... I love it when they play certain songs that have percussive drums on the stage & at certain points , usually , at the end of the song & I wish they would use them more often as they have great songs that had percussive drums used on them & when they were touring in 82 or 83 they had a full time percussion player but I can't remember his name & why he never ended up as a full member of the band but then again its not as if they had a very large selection of songs with percussion drums being played & having 1 full time might have been deemed not to be needed full time... I do not mean any disrespect towards Nate aka Nathan Kind on Lead & Rhythm Guitar in my humble & honest opinion is he's a better bass player thatva lead guitarists & though I'm not going to compare Nate to Boon but Nate does at times not have the sounds he should be getting when playing as Boon played the same lead guitars but was more dynamic & powerful with his hard sounds & then there's the times you have to really listen to , to hear Boons other style of playing , as he'd be playing notes just under the radar of the rest of the band & maybe many have missed this but if you took Boon out at those stages you'd soon hear that he was playing... For what i remember about Boon's approach to playing lead & rhythm guitar was not your usual in your face lead guitarist & as i said he'd ve playing his guitar but not in an overly powerful way & it was finding those times when he did this that I found to be very enjoyable , as I remember playing an album of Level 42 & the song escapes me but my friend who visited me & listened to the song said " The Lead Guitarist doesn't do much does he " Thats when I told him your looking for Boon in all the wrong places & he doesn't feel the need to blast is leas guitar up when playing his fills but listen hard enough & your hear Boon playing & it wasn't just at solo's or the 1 time Boon just let rip at the start of " Lessons In Love " when he plays those distorted power chords & I can't remember any other time did this on an recorded songs... " Boon Gould Is Sadly Gone , But He Won't Be Forgotten " RIP Peace Roland Charles Gould , aka as Boon... ..... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus and it's variants stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world...
The best intro of any song.
Ah man, I love this so much. I think it's the "...fuck!" at the end that makes it 😂 Brilliant clip, thanks for sharing!
My favorite bassist
He's quite good isn't he?
The other guitarist should've taken a break while Boon was on stage. No need for him.
88 >>>>>>> Mr Pink!!!
Miss u Boon… 🎸💕
I love this version. Always thought the ending of the album version should be like this… thanks for upload.
I wish he'd go back to playing his Jaydee bass. It has such a better sound.
