i currently am using weathering powders and eye shadow make up sponge to do shading as i am currently doing speed builds. i want to also advise ppl to not try to airbrush using vallejo game colours. they have changed how the formula works and it now uses a gel medium as a binder and it will clog or pigments will start to seperate if its too diluted. their other lines are okay, especially their model and model air colours. of coz builders can stick to japanese paint brands as they don't mess around and will always produce consistent results. i do not like using black to do preshading as it can have odd interactions with colours as many colours we use are off colours (not pure primary colours) or in your demonstration with yellow, create undesirable outcomes.

If you want to shade yellow. Base coat a dull pink. Highlight white, and then paint the yellow

I like your approach of forgetting about realism in Gunpla. After all these are not real vehicles, so freedom of creativity is the key. Nice weathering! Have you tried pencils for chipping? The best are the AK weathering pencils, but you can get away with regular color pencils dipped in water for heavier effects. Better if applied on a matt coated surface. I weathered a MG GM with the pencils and it was very satisfying.

I've got this one coming in from Japan. I wanted to see how it went together. Looks fairly straight-on. I'll watch more vids to see how others do it. This is a good vid, though; no wasted time. Could be a bit slower but it's ok.
