That's the first time I've seen that done, I didn't think that an engine ran that much oil through itself.

You need a dry-sump oil pump setup. Its will make more HP and prevent that common oil pump problem. Its a MUST.

Why use vacuum secondarie carbs I would have went mechanical double pumpers twin 750's it looks cool but a single carb 1150 dominator and a dominator intake will make more horse power what do you plan to stick it in a 68-74 X body would be my choice
