I lived in Nova Scotia in the Annapolis Valley in the early 2000s. What a fabulous place to visit and if you can, live! For me, this place on earth is a peaceful wonderful place where you will be happy. A University in Wolfville is in a smallish charming town. Adjacent Halls harbor is where you will select from bins of seawater flushing over live lobsters for your selection and they prepare for you while you wait next to the moorings of those boats who brought the catch to you. For over the top fresh scallops you need to head to Digby, Nova Scotia about 1 hour drive from Wolfville for amazing huge fresh off the boat scallops! 🇨🇦

Last year we didn't have any snow until the second week of February and it only lasted a few weeks. Our winters are getting milder all the time.

Digby is a wonderful place to visit

A very picky Wildfire, people need to wake up this was not a Wildfire !!!! They can now build their 15 minute city all planned land grabs !!!

i missed the light show

I was just there this past spring and made so many wonderful memories there, it was really special. I don’t even live there and I’m devastated to lose this place. I’m so sad for Lahaina😢

I'm praying for all locals.was there 5 years ago.

I lived there, right on Front Street, right next to Wharf Cinema Center and a couple other spots right behind Front Street, for all of 1998. An amazing year, one of the times of my life for sure. I had jobs at Wharf Cinema Center, Cheeseburger In Paradise, Moose McGillicuddy's, Kimo's, Lahaina Fish Co., Lahaina and Maui Princess dinner cruise boats, and Westin Kaanapaali Resort and O'Reilly's Steakhouse at Kaanapaali Golf Course. I was always busy and on-call and was able to work as much or little as I wanted My brother has lived there for 35 years and has been staying in Napili and working in Kaanapaali for the past 2 years so he and his areas are fine except for still being without power and internet. He undoubtedly lost some people in the fires that we both know but this is devastating for him and all the people there and everyone in the world who ever visited. My mom visited for a month every year for the past 20 years, right in Old Town, at Lahaina Shores resort. It wasnt damaged too much at all as it's made from brick and cement. My bro says to mail gently-used clothing to Lahaina Goodwill. I'm sending a couple of boxes to him directly and he will deliver and help disribute them, as well as staying put on the island to help any other way he can. He knows a ton of people and has been a construction worker for over 30 years as well as a star in local hospitality. I've never seen something like this happen to a world-class, world-famous vacation spot as well as a sacred historical area. And Ive never seen a place Ive lived at be destroyed. Unreal.

I really hope the rebuild doesn't look like a strip mall. Society doesn't know how to build like they did 100 years ago.

My heart is breaking for Lahaina & all impacted by the wildfires 💔💔💔

Now all of this lies in burned ruins. Unbelievable. I appreciate the videos like this one that document everything that is now lost forever.

The tunnels were 3/4 full of water......that is a lot of water volume. Are there any vintage video's of the water coming out of the tunnel when the station was operating?
