This is my channel based around 'Big' Railway, Model Railway exhibitions and preserved Railway Places and events etc. I may also include some bus related videos from preserved bus shows and events, apologies if you don't like buses just feel free not to watch those in that playlist...lol.
I'm, also hoping to construct and complete a 'long term project' to build a model railway layout of the now demolished Cheadle Heath Station in N gauge. Although it will be a "what if" type of layout, which means what it would have been like if it hadn't been closed in 1967 and using any sort of Loco's and rolling stock I like and in whatever period in time I wish (or basically from about 1968 BR Blue livery onwards).

I am planning on building a layout based on Stamford East and Stamford Town stations
Hi Christopher Thanks for watching, this layout is Robin Fox's layout and is really nice. It would make a good template for yours, I'm sure thereare more videos of it out there somewhere.
@peterjackson-cheadleheath1182 I have seen Robin Fox's layout and Lutterworth's layout of Stamford East but I haven't seen a layout based on Stamford Town so I plan on doing a layout based on both stations. The period I will be covering is 1946 (LMS/LNER) to 1963 (BR)

Hi Pete! I've got one of these coal stages in my collection so this video has been invaluable as I'll refer back to it when it comes time to build it! Those steps look extremely tricky, so I'm not looking forward to building them! Can't wait to see how you paint and weather it! Cheers, Ian.
Hi Ian Thanks for watching, yes the steps are a bit tricky but its just a question of taking a little time and some fine tweezers, I find the hard bit is getting them orientated correctly, so they face the right way...lol Unlike a signal box I made where the signalman would have to stand on tiptoes to go up them...lol The weathering one is coming up soon, good luck with it.

Are there any T9-29 engines and generators still available ?
@@bob-sb2zu Hi Bob Thanks for watching I'm not sure of the exact details but the engine from the class 37 used for the main carcass of the loco has been started up previously a few years ago, so I guess that will be used for the Power unit, although as I say I'm not entirely sure for certain. Thanks

Hello Richard, some good footage there of great locos, particularly of the 50s and the Western..I have 4 Class 50s in my model fleet, the latest being 50049 Defiance...thanks for sharing, Jon B.

Really enjoyed the layout, many thanks. I like industrial settings. I was brought up in Colchester, Essex. Paxman Diesels were still active then. They had their own branch line, and a huge marshalling yard for marine diesels. I used to watch the diesel shunter from a footbridge. Still in BR blue in those days. Colchester town station still has a Paxman diesel crankshaft at the entrance.
