Especially after Mouth Dreams, my headcanon is that Smash Mouth is a cognitohazardous interdimensional entity that enters and invades universes through people's minds, perceptions, and dreams. It continually expands, encompasses, assimilates, until all that is, was, and ever will be, is mouth. Mouth Silence is the first stage of the invasion, where the entity first takes notice of the target universe in question. It begins with tiny, almost imperceptible hints crawling along the corners of people's consciousness. Hardly anyone notices, much less thinks anything of it. Mouth Dreams is the second stage. Smash Mouth's presence slowly begins to creep into the dreams of the populace. It is accompanied by disorientation, insomnia, and in some cases, psychosis. In one particularly unsettling case, Billie Joe Armstrong details his lack of sleep as he steadily descends into incoherent mouth-related babblings. But then, just as quickly as it came, his manic episode subsides. Later on, Smash Mouth begins to enter the mind of an unsuspecting victim, who is awoken by Serj Tankian with mere moments to spare. Mouth Moods is the third stage; the entity has entered into our universe, but its presence isn't ubiquitous enough that people are overly alarmed. It tries to wriggle its way into other songs in small doses (like having samples in The Starting Line or trying to assert itself at the beginning of Wow Wow), followed by a dedicated mashup near the end (Mouth Pressure), but it feels natural enough by that point that no one thinks much of it. And lastly, Mouth Sounds is the final stage, where the takeover has neared totality. Not all has yet been lost, but the majority of cultural and memetic content have been infused with Smash Mouth. It feels like a fitting allegory for meme culture tbh

After the series finished at the end of season 15 Edgar K.B. Montrose tried to make his own heated recliner out of plastic explosives. He hasn't been heard from since.

Few missing scenes. Season 9 he uses jars full of gas to kill weeds. Season 10s Christmas special he makes a "pipe bomb organ" and tries to guess "Christmas" in the Possum Lodge Word Game.

The comedy of Graham is wonderful 👍
