how is gale not #1? wizards are so busted in D&D and by extension this game. Shield, Tasha's hideous laughter, hold person, haste, sleet storm, wall of fire, hold monster, conjure elemental, eye bite, sunbeam, plus he can learn deaththrone and knights final stratagem. Plus spells from magic items. All theses spells transform the state of the battlefield and tip the balance of fights in your favor. Give him resilient con and war caster then a plus 2 in int and and by the end of the game there will be enemies that have a 95% precent chance to fail the saving throw against eyebite and Gale become and force of domination on the enemies whos concentration is unbreakable as be puts them to sleep make them fearful or sickened. Gale doesn't just do damage but he debufs the enemies while increasing damage of the party. Have you never cast evards black tentacles with gale then insect plague with Shadowheart or Halsin? I call it the blender, watch enemies get restrained and then slowly killed as they try to make it through. Spellcasters man they are op. The list is Gale #1, Shadowheart #2, Halsin #3.

Gale can literally blow up baldur's gate if he went and he has a intimate relationship with a literal goddess of magic i think he is more powerful than a female orc with a sword.

My last playthrough used Halsin, Astarion and Gale as the final party members against the final boss. My dude Halsin was saving all the Crits for it since he was the team’s tank while he’s shapeshifts into the saber tooth tiger. I was playing as the team’s Barbarian (Wild Magic)

First...Karlach does it better than Laezel. Second...not sure why everyone keeps saying you can't have Halsin and Minthara cause I've done 2 playthroughs where I've had both. Third...EVERYONE can have their class changed to do whatever you want your party to do. Personally my party is always Shadowheart, Karlach, Gale and Tav. Gale made into a wizard bard or wizard warlock makes him able to heal himself or just broken. Karlach as barbarian monk or fighter monk is broken as hell. Shadowheart as straight cleric has been the mvp of my party in the shadow lands. After act 2 I swap Shadowheart for Minthara or Jaheira and my Tav takes the role of whatever multiclass shenanigans I feel like. Fourth...KARLACH DOES IT BETTER THAN LAEZEL!

Why only Druids have the chidori(The lightening Call) at level 3?

Minthara, Gale, and Astarion are definitely the 3 most powerful companions. And Minthara can absolutely be had without losing Halsin. Not that that'd be an issue because Halsin kinda sucks, especially if left as a Shifter-Druid Minthara is just an unstoppable juggernaut and gets my vote for strongest companion. Her EXTREMELY high Attack Bonus (almost said THACO Lol) practically lets her use Great Weapon Master for free. Couple that with her Smites and shes basically a walking diety Respecing Jaheira into a Spore-Druid/Ranger makes her very strong. Spore-Druid/Fighter is very good for her too and even lore accurate from BG1. You could do this with similar results on Halsin but Jaheira's personality, impact on the story, and nostalgia from previous games makes her the stand out better choice Astarion is extremely powerful if leveled as a Rogue/Ranger or Rogue/Fighter. Take Gloomstalker, use Potion of Speed, get a million devestating attacks per turn plus all the utility that also comes with Rogues and Rangers Gale pretty much speaks for himself. Wizards always end up OP at higher levels, even in table top D&D. This was actually one of my favorite lesser plot points from Dragon Age Origins. How they were basically lobotimizing magic users because of how powerful and dangerous they were. Was a great little bit of meta on Bioware's part for taking what was notoriously OP in these games and weaving that into the story. Absolutely brilliant
