I played the playtest and this honestly felt terrifying. It's almost impossible to get a start as a solo. Once you've been spotted by a zed, it's pretty much game over unless you have a shit ton of ammo for a large calibre MG. Then you have an optimistic 50/50 chance of surviving. The zed's can open doors, climb and even shoot firearms. I've never crept at the slowest speed so much in any other game. It's 7 Days to Die in first person. Will be watching the development closely.
