it all depend on what type of tiling you ate dealing with. With ceramic tiles standard or ordinary drill cam be easily used but with porcelain and other hard type tiles currenlty Im using this brand called DIABLO. been using it and its very good. I also found these cross spearhead drill bits that I saw feol TEMU or EBAY very cost effective and reliable for its cheap price.

These mirrors I installed were toughened. Although, like your thoughts I totally agree. I’m not a fan with this design for the kitchen. But, I have to do my job and give what the client wanted👍

Having a stud behind the wall is better for extra sturdiness on the glass sytem. But enclosure like this its ok. As long as wall tiling are properly glued to the wall, plus you also have the anchors/wall plugs before the screw goes in. But let say, a glass door is hinging of the wall then its way better to have a stud to help support the pulling force and the overall weight of the glass door

Boss depende po kase sa customer namin kung gusto nila magpalagay nong mga pvc strips wala naman problema. Generally kase ang mga puti dito mas gusto nila talaga yung frameless look. ayaw nila yung maraming plastic.

@@oscarramirez4570its about pace and experience I guess. For me when I position all my glass in the bathroom I go straight to it. Basically peel of the protected plastic ( if applicable) then place all designated brackets then proceed to installation. Dry fit panel and check level, mark then drill hole, re-position the glass straight after then screw. hang door then do the same process for the fixed panel. apply silicone after. Its all about your routine bro. Once you get your comfortable installation pace plus repititions, You wont even recognize how long you finish the job.

​@oscarramirez4570 it's the fixed panel clamps with a leg that's he's using that makes it quick. The typical glass clamps has to be drilled in the center for the screw onto the tile between the glass panel.

@@eliasartsThats a great point as well. having a 90 degree wall bracket makes it a lot more easier to set-up compared to clamps. Although I had a lot experience on installing with those clamps before until now what I do also is I created a template. Its a aluminium channel that is wide and I use it as a staight edge and with it I had pre-drilled holes replicating where I needed to drill for my clamps. And so after I have my holes ready all I need to do is screw all my clamps in and place all panels accordingly and so on. Along the way, doing this job for more than 10yrs now I acquired and implemented ways to make installing efficiently.👌

wala po boss. sa company namin iniiwasan naming mag drill sa floor pra iwas sa chance na madamage ang waterproofing. Pero pwede rin naman magbutas sa floor basta ingat lang at hindi mahaba ang screw na gagamitin

we only put seal per customer’s request. Here in Australia most shower companies dont put any seal on their frameless showers, only the bottom. To maintain that complete frameless look. But if clients wanted that all gaps to have seals of course we will oblige👌

Its 10mm toughened glass and the whole design is sitting on what we call here a STEP DOWN. where the shower area is slightly lower than outside.

2000mm high and roughly 1200mm wide

Yung gaps normal yan pero depende parin sa agreement between ng client at builder kung gaano kalaki ang gap. Normally from 3mm to 5mm. Pag more than that pwede rin lagyan ng plastic strips pra matakpan ang gaps. Yung konteng tubig na lumalabas along the gaps normal yan sa FULLY FRAMELESS DESIGN But once again, nasa agreement yan ng nagpapagawa at gumagawa

The measurement was roughly 1300mm from wall to wall. Ample space to have that design. If you only have 42” as an openning its should still be possible to install a glass door. Maybe just a door by itself should work if you have enough space for the door to swing inwards and outwards. It can be a pivot design or hinge but must be according to specifications regarding weight limitations per hinge to know how many hinges to be used. if NOT, you can look into a bi-fold design as well to give you a great access. WIth sliding design its gonna be tight, you will have to go inside your shower sideways as you’ll have a small openning of maybe 450mm-500mm entry point? because you are using 2 panels of glass for a sliding design. Also with the laminate glass it is still okay to use but from my experience it needs to be framed because if you leave it as frameless the laminate film between the glass may react to steam.
