@@turbospool hahah! Thanks! I still own this car and at this time, I’m debating if I should upgrade to an is38 turbo along with a downpipe, now that I’ve installed a performance clutch and an intercooler.

@@billynguyen710 if you do it, you won't regret it. I just picked up a Mk7.5R and that turbo is glorious. Strong pull all the way to redline- no drop-off after 5000 like with the IS20. Totally different driving experience. Not to downplay the IS20 as the GTIs are PLENTY fun, but having a turbo that actually breathes up top is a game changer.

@@myhonesttake7527 yup! Wheel spacers I got from ECS Tuning. Initially I was running the spacers on my stock wheels, so I purchased their kit that came with the lug bolts and spacers. No vibrations at all at highway speeds.. I don’t push the car over 90 mph, so anything faster than that I can’t speak on. If you end up getting spacers, be sure you get longer bolts that match the wheel to pair with them.

Appreciate that! I still have the car and it’s still as it is in this video. Next big purchase are new tires, so I’m excited about that. Definitely In maintenance mode as of now, but haven’t ruled out adding an aftermarket downpipe and intercooler

Just recently purchased Conti All Season performance tires.. such a huge difference! I had been on the OE tires for the last 5 years, so it’s been nice to really feel the difference

Bought the car brand new in 2018 for 24k USD

At first I just had the Magnaflow muffler paired with the stock the resonator and it was a bit too “boomy” and droned during highway cruising inside. The resonator removed the drone and boomy-ness, but it did noticeably quiet down the overall volume of the exhaust sound. It’s just a tad louder than stock, so if you like your exhaust volume on the louder side, you may want to skip either the resonator or muffler. Note that I have the stock downpipe

The Get Busy sample is from an old scratch record titled 100 MPH Backsliding Turkey Kutz I purchased in the late 90s off of Dirtstyle records. You might be able to get a digitized copy from djqbert.com The sample is slowed down to match the tempo of the beat; so for slower beats, I do slow down the sample record

Yeah.. this car has exceeded my expectations. Thankfully the aftermarket for upgrading parts on this car is the way it is in regards to the parts being “plug and play”
