Henry V was a deeply overrated and self righteous narcissist who lucked out by being up against a French king who was insane, and in consequence the French army was completely out of control at Agincourt. The longbow was unquestionably useful but the French attacks had no problem reaching the English lines despite this "wonder weapon". Normal service was resumed thereafter when Charles VII, who was not mad, took the throne and the English suffered a series of (mostly) defeats leading to their complete collapse in 1453 (albeit still styling themselves sovereigns of France until 1802).
