If you are a Sales Manager for GMC how come you do not drive a GMC. If I came into your dealership and I asked you what car you drive and I saw you were driving a Lexus I would have walked out. I feel you should be drive is the brand you sell.

Great video! I currently sale at Ford/Lincoln and made 113k last year. Few things to note: Not every dealership’s pay plan is the same. Some offer Draw Plans, such as this one here, others offer salary, like Ford/Lincoln. Salary is also based on the amount of cars sold the previous month. At the Ford dealership i was working at, base salary was $250 but could go up to $650 a week depending on the amount of units sold the previous month. BONUSES! Bonuses are crucial in the car business, as they can increase your pay SIGNIFICANTLY. I was averaging 15 cars a month, with 23 being the most cars i sold in a month, 8 being the least. I was averaging 10k a month, with 13k being most i made in a month, to 5k being the least i’ve made in a month. It all really depends on your work ethic, and how bad you want to make money. It’s a REALLY good field to work in for an insane payout, but keep in mind the work to life balance is awful. You’re working 50hours a week on average, so if you have a family like myself, you wont spend much time with your kids and loved ones. Overall, i love the car business, you can make more than college graduates, even doctors, without even needing to go to college. The more work you put in the more money you’ll make.
