Believe - SeaWorld Orlando - Full Show (2007)
Along with the stuff of baby Malia, I found this footage I have of a full Believe show from late March 2007, so here it is for you all! Seeing Dawn and Kayla doing the Somewhere Far Greater segment broke my heart, still in awe that I got to witness this in real life🖤Everything about this show was so perfect, I miss it so much.

Found these super old videos from my first ever visit to SWO in March 2007, just a week or two after Malia was born! Taima says no, the show won't go on today, so trainers put on a little presentation about Malia's birth. Tilikum was introduced to baby Lia for the first ever time that day too, but he was unsure on whether he should come out or not. Unfortunately didn't get all of it on film, so...

i saw this in 2007, at 7 years of age, the way this scene hit me like a ton of bricks with nostalgia is crazy.

3:58 Is when we see Dawn. Also, I was born the same year as Malia, in fact, I'm only three days older than her. So I think that's very cool. Now Tilikum and Taima already had a very strong bond together so it's very clear that even though during the moment, Taima is being protective, it is all totally normal. This happens in the wild with all animals. Now if it was Katina in the pool, I highly doubt he would've come out at all. I still think it was a little dumb that they were trying to force Tilikum into the pool with them. But it could've been worse. Props to the trainers who recommended that they stop the music.I bet Dawn was the one who told them to because I just have a feeling. I also like how the male trainer explained everything so that was good. I'm glad this all ended well and that Tilikum was able to meet his daughter. Tilikum's met all of his kids born at Orlando, but probably not as soon as with Taima's babies because Taima trusts him and loves him. ❤
They weren't forcing them by any means, while I do think it was odd they were pressuring them it was a new experience for all trainers involved. As for the music pausing, I believe Laura was the most experienced trainer with them at that time (and even to this day as she still works there) so it was probably her who was calling all the shots. Reguardless they only played the music to try to entice Tilikum out and hype him up. I agree with everything else though, Taima was definitely very kind to Tili during the whole encounter and it would've gone very differently with any of the other females.

He killed dawn and Daniel. Apparently Keltie was actually killed by Haida 2 and not Tilikum.

No. If you watch the video you can clearly see Tilikum is being harassed and bitten by Taima whenever he gets near her or Malia
It's so weird watching this show so many years later, and weirdly nostalgic, especially with Dawn giving such a great performance. I remember when I wanted to be a Sea World trainer so badly, but after finding out the truth about their care and Sea World as a company, I changed my mind. These orcas are so beautiful, and they deserve retirement.

Tilikum wasn't responsible for the death of Keltie Bryn, Daniel duke died before tilikum got to him. so no he didn't kill 3, he is an animal that was involved in 2 incidents. Haida and Knootka both had MANY incidents of pulling and biting people and trainers. so Kelties death was not in Tilly's sole responsibility. You make wild accusations but don't even know the whole story. just assume what biased sites tell you, without doing your own proper research.

How can this not be Tilikum's fault??? You are insane!! What an incredible experience for that audience. And thank you for sharing it. This is behavior that would be difficult to document in their natural environment and extremely rare to witness it in person. Wow. And it’s bittersweet to see Brancheau working with the whales that she knew and loved and that knew and trusted her. Even Tilikum. Sweet Malia is still with us, though.
It would be difficoult in their natural habitat?? And why are all the sientific studie's from "field sientist's"?? May be in the 60 tees, but now we have GoPro's, underwater microphones,.. Show me ONE link with sientific studie's about orca's which is from captivity?? And if it is not published, it is not official. So, I am waiting genius.
