I see that the author decided to read from that draft for this recitation. 😂 R.I.P. Douglas Adams. Still managing to surprise me so many years later. 😊

Speed and pitch are a bit slow and low Listening on x1.25 helps some, but it's a little too fast. Nice to hear this again though. Listened to it dozens of times as a kid. Had parts memorized.

I have the BBC LP record versions ( with Peter Jones, Simon Jones et.al). Can’t recall if they’re the full book text, but they’re pretty good. The movie was a valiant effort, but for me it never quite hit the mark.
