    Your reviews are so thorough and honest. This product line worked really well on my hair. I focused on the technique, so I took my time to get my roots nice and straight during the blow drying phase. My hair was silky and bouncy. I am not a stylist so I am happy with what i was able to achieve. I live in a tropical climate so I am happy with how well it was able to hold up in the humidity.

    This was so helpful, thank you!! If we're using both the reconstructive mask and the rice water, how often should we be doing that? Like one month should I do the mask, then the next month use the rose water? Or use them both every 4-6 weeks, just not on the same day? My hair is healthy, color treated, natural hair, btw. Hope this makes sense!

    • @TonieJ

    I am In love with CECRED. Beyoncé put a lot of love and thought into this line. If you know her history and Ms. Tina’s history than this was something that is very aligned to them. I am using the sealing lotion and it’s so nourishing and the texture is so nice. I use it in the morning to moisturize my hair and style it. And the Oil is so luxurious and I will get it deep into my scalp and I love it. The scent was different for me but I truly enjoy it. I am new to very through hair care and I’m so happy about this line.

    With the rice water it's meant to have more water with it. It's recommended to pour the whole amount and scrunch it in, don't worry about some going down the drain. This way you get the full benefit of the product otherwise you're only getting a tiny amount of it which may not be effective and you can't save it as it's for one time use. I agree that the moisture sealing lotion is a favorite. Thanks for sharing your wash day.

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ 5 месяцев назад

      Once the hair takes in what it can the rest is wasted regardless is the product. So more ends up in the drain than my head. You get the same efficacy with smaller portions as long as the ratios are proper. I don’t recoiled saving any product like this considering the variables of introducing water and likely no preservative in the packets configuring the way they’re designed to be used. Thanks for your input, I’m glad you enjoyed the video and like some of the products!

In your opinion, do you think the products will work well with relaxed hair? And I wonder if the restructuring mask or the rice treatment would work best with relaxed hair?

    • @TonieJ
      @TonieJ 5 месяцев назад

      I can see that happening. Olaplex and any repair products are really only going to show their true colors when the hair is damaged. You can have relaxed healthy hair. So the reconstructing mask and keratin treatment may work better on relaxed hair but if your hair isn’t damaged you may still not have that “aha” moment. Give it a try though! If you want something more for regular use, and the best bang for your buck, get the mask.

    Hey Tonie. How are you today? I went completely natural in 2017 and it has been an adventure which I LOVE! I realised that everything my hair needs is in just one product; *Aphogee 2min Reconstructor* although I use it bi-weekly and when I'm using the 2-step protein treatment which I use every 8 weeks. The things that make up the choice of my products are; 1. *Climate* I live in a highly hot and humid industrial city 2. *Texture* I have a mixed texture which ranges from wavy to coils 3. *Style* I rotate between twists, and braids and wash and go on my natural hair and braids/twist with extensions occasionally. 4. *Density* I can say that my density is between medium and high. I don't use porosity as a checkmate because either way, I still have to take care of my hair. So, I try to use products that will make my job easier. Part of the criteria for my product choice is *Smell* (I have an extremely high sense of smell and I'm sensitive to sweet, spicy and oud scents), *Performance* is extremely important to me because I'm too old to be fooling around with my hair and hard-earned money😀 *Ingredients* is the third most important criteria for me because I love some specific things to be in the first five ingredients and between the first 10 ingredients if it is a protein-moisture product for me. Availability and affordability are also very important because shipping can be extremely expensive here so, I stick to what I can find around but within my pocket range. Having said all this, these are the permanent hair products I've been using consistently in the last three years 1. *Kinky Curly Come Clean* is my go-to for clarifying and chelating but because of the exchange rate that has catapulted our currency into something else, I went back to my old faithful *VO5 Kiwi Limesqueeze* which does the same job as Come Clean but at a fraction of the cost. 2. *African Pride Miracle Shampoo* this is my hydrating shampoo and it's gentle enough to detangle. 3. *Aphogee 2min Reconstructor* it does all the jobs of protein/moisture/bond/condition/detangle/slip/scent/affordable/available/ingredients/performance etc for my hair☺️😊 4. *Aphogee 2-Step* this is the protein treatment that I use every 8 weeks because I use the 2 minutes bi-weekly. 5. *Camille Rose Aloe Butter* This is my leave-in styler because it is rich in texture, smooth, absorbs and has a very beautiful scent and works with all my gels😀 The only issue is the price😷 6. *Wetline Xtreme Gel* this gel works very well in my climate because it has a very good hold agent (Crosspolymer) which is better than PVP in a hot and humid area. My wash-n-go lasts for a long time. 7. *Blue Magic Suregro* I mixed this with my Jbco-Coconut, Peppermint, and Rosemary oils from JM&L, Sunny Isle and VIA with my Shea Butter just for the tip of my hair that is the oldest part of my hair. 8. *Coconut* oil is very accessible for hot oil treatment which I do when the time permits. *sorry for the epistle I wrote*😊

      Have never tried the kinky curly brand. I remember when it was highly sought after and I never bought it because of the price tag! I was about 18 at the time. Now, I still haven’t bought it because I never think about it. I’ll have to put it on my personal list of things to try!

      @@TonieJ it's very lovely but the price is crazy here in Nigeria. It used to be #6000 like $6 but it's 13,500 now more like $13 or more!

    Why is it so expensive 😢😢😢😢

      Because they have to deduct the money for marketing, advertising, packaging, branding, PR etc from the product 😀

      And that’s why I only recommend it if you truly just want to have it! It’s at a price point where I start thinking about all the other things I can do with that money 😂
