Sure will. The deluxe additions mainly give you an extra stack of cards to add a little variety to the game but they aren't needed

There are not minimum or maximum trips per season. Depending on your trip cards, you might end up doing 3 per season but you don't have too. I've had games where I only did 2 trips in a season, 3 in another season and 4 in the last.

I don't think you necessarily need to put the stacks out. Just one for each day. Then you flip over the one card for Fri and that is in effect. Then when Sat happens you ONLY play with the Sat breaking news card and put Fri card away.

I might not be understanding your question, but no matter the kind of pot, you always have to have enough verdancy points on the card as listed in the corner. The pot allows you go count the plant total as part of scoring at end. Without a pot, the plant cards themselves don't award you anything.

Possibly but I can see the placing of passengers being frustrating. My wife didn't care for it though she did really well. Since you're not picking up and putting down every turn, you have to be a bit of a longer term planner. If you attempt to adjust the robots a lot, you will waste too many actions and will be inefficient.

Thank you! It is definitely worth it if you like these mechanics. If you've never played a worker placement game, it's great as an entry point because with only two workers, you don't have 1,000 options to contend with.

Definitely. There are a total of 60 transparent cards, more if you have the Kickstarter or the expansion. I will say that you end up mainly focusing on the elements on the bottom ribbon for scoring purposes and never really evaluate what the painting looks like. The way the painting ends up is pretty arbitrary to the game itself.
