    I like the system, we have been using it for a couple years. However, this presentation suggests money savings on electricity, however in order to get the Venturi to provide enough suction, i have to increase the RPM's quite a bit which is in essence consuming about 300 watts more while the pool is running than when I didn't have clearcomfort and the venturi system (for the same GPM flow rate). I'm not sure how this saves in power consumption, or if perhaps you have a better way of injecting the radicals than the venturi system?

    • @justinhaupt7436
      @justinhaupt7436 2 года назад

      What RPMs do you need to run your pump at to make the system operate properly? Also, do you have a flow meter installed? If so, what’s the corresponding GPM

    • @roberthillman4603
      @roberthillman4603 2 года назад

      @@justinhaupt7436 2400 rpm approximately. Around 30gpm, yes it has a flow meter. For the venturi to work with enough suction I need to redirect a lot of water and this causes me to increase rpm quite a bit for the same gpm.

    • @justinhaupt7436
      @justinhaupt7436 2 года назад

      @@roberthillman4603 I appreciate you replying. Yeah their specs have a required range for rpm on the pump, but in my opinion that is pretty weak. I wish they just had a certain flow rate to get the system to function because I could have a .5 Hp pump with 1.5” piping and that puts out a lot less at 2,400 rpms compared to my pump (2.7 hp with 2” piping)

    I really swear by this product. It does exactly what he says and what you want it to do. With the chlorine plant fire last year, chlorine got scarce and the cost jumped off the planet. I put two in my pool every 3-4 months during swim season and two for the entire offseason. You can read a book on the bottom of my pool all year round. I have stopped adding so many chemicals so often to my pool and it is nearly maintenance free. It will help dramatically to clear a stubborne pool too. I have tried nearly everything over the past 25 years with minimal success. This is the real deal. Nice hat Fred.

    Do you recommend a solid or smart mesh pool cover? I have a concrete plaster pool salt pool with a 12 inch raised spa/spillway. I live in New Jersey and have to deal with snow. I am a new homeowner and the house came with an old solid cover that has been repaired several times and gets new holes every time it snows. New pool covers are very costly, and any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!!!!

    • @OrendaTechnologies
      @OrendaTechnologies 2 года назад

      If you have a salt pool, a mesh cover is preferred. It will help dilute TDS during the winter, which you can replenish easily with salt in the spring. It also allows for CO2 to off-gas and your pH will be elevated to give further protection to your pool during the winter...provided you have enough calcium hardness and alkalinity to maintain LSI balance in the freezing temperatures. So based on your location and the salt system, mesh cover all the way. Thanks for listening!

    This is awesome Lauren. You definitely know your 💩! Nice job bringing attention to the CyA requirements in handling an accidental diarrheal discharge in a swimming pool. With the new (well as of 2017) requirement of a Cyanuric acid (stabilizer level) of <15ppm, many don't realize that draining a pool at least partially has now become the first step in remediation. Also, that most will require a new means of testing Cyanuric acid. The current method of squeezing a small squirt bottle until a black dot disappears (visual determination) can only read as low as 30ppm. A photometer will be required to read the levels the CDC fecal incident response recommendations are now suggesting. Nicely Done! www.poolTalknews.com

    Good information. unfortunately the commercial pools that I serviced do not have this type of entrapment safety device on them. I wish that they did.

  • @AquaticFacilityTraining
    @AquaticFacilityTraining 5 лет назад

    This is so important. A lot of folks do not realize that they can not install a VGB compliant grate themselves in certain states (Florida for example), or that a backup device is necessary (All states). The Pool & Spa Safety act is not all about the grate; it is a lot about the grate, but there are other required prevention devices to meet this Federal anti-entrapment regulation. Nicely done!
