NFL Champions and Cheerleaders
Добавлен 6 апр 2017
An exciting tour through the history of the NFL and a detailed look at the contributions of many of our champions and their cheerleader teams. Giddy up!
Joe Namath: NFL Champion.
"I’m convinced I’m better than anybody else. I’ve been convinced of that for quite a while. I haven’t seen anything out there that I couldn’t do and do well…I get annoyed with myself for doing something wrong…I tell myself, 'You’re the best, damn it, do it right.’”

Strahan retired with 141.5 career sacks (fifth all-time when he retired), 854 career tackles, four career interceptions, 24 forced fumbles, and three career touchdowns in 200 games over a 15-year career (through the 2007 season). He was also named to the Pro Bowl roster seven times.
Lee Roy Selmon: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 56Месяц назад
Four times the NFL Players Association named Lee Roy the NFC Defensive Lineman of the Year, and he was a unanimous choice as NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1979. Although he missed six games due to injuries as a rookie, he was named the Bucs’ Rookie of the Year and the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Derrick Brooks: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 54Месяц назад
In 1997, Brooks led the Buccaneers to their first postseason appearance since 1981. He topped the team with 182 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 10 passes defenced to earn the first of his 11 Pro Bowl selections. With Brooks entrenched as the defensive anchor, the Bucs led the NFL in total defence twice (2002 and 2005) and topped the NFC fi...
Mel Hein: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 362 месяца назад
Mel was named first-team All-NFL centre eight straight years from 1933 through 1940. He also earned second team All-NFL recognition five other times. In 1938, he was named the league's most valuable player, a rare honour for a centre. He was the Giants team captain for 10 seasons.
Larry Allen: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 412 месяца назад
Larry is among the rare group of players who have been named to multiple NFL All-Decade Teams (1990s and 2000s). A veteran of 203 career games, he played in two NFC Championship Games and was the starting right guard in the Cowboys' 27-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XXX.
Lenny Moore: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 1502 месяца назад
From 1963 to 1965, Lenny scored touchdowns in 18 consecutive games, an NFL-record. When Moore retired following the 1967 season, he left behind some amazing statistics, 12,451 combined net yards, 5174 yards rushing, 363 pass receptions, and 113 touchdowns.
Troy Aikman: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 752 месяца назад
Troy Aikman finished his collegiate career as the third rated passer in NCAA history. An All-America at UCLA, Aikman joined the Dallas Cowboys as the first overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft. Then with 90 wins in the 1990s, Aikman became the winningest starting quarterback of any decade in NFL history at the time of his retirement.
Sam Huff: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 2172 месяца назад
Sam was named All-NFL three times, picked as the NFL's top linebacker in 1959 and selected for five Pro Bowls, four of them while he was with the Giants. The relatively new middle linebacker's job called for someone big enough to handle the power runners, fast enough to overhaul swift halfbacks and agile enough to protect against the passer.
Michael Irvin: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 6482 месяца назад
From 1991 through 1998, Irvin recorded 1,000-yard seasons in all but one year. Along the way, the Cowboys made four straight appearances in the NFC championship game (1992-1995) and captured three Super Bowl titles with back-to-back wins over the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII, and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XXX.
Fran Tarkenton: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 2332 месяца назад
Tarkenton could throw the ball forever, but he also had no problem tucking and running. His coaches would get furious whenever he did so, but Tarkenton paid them no mind. By the time he ended his NFL career after 18 seasons, Tarkenton was entrenched in the top ten rushing quarterbacks in league history.
Kurt Warner: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 452 месяца назад
Named first-team All-Pro twice and selected to four Pro Bowls, Warner racked up 32,344 career yards, threw 208 touchdowns and recorded a 93.7 career passer rating.
Ernie Nevers: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 1212 месяца назад
After he finished his Stanford career, Nevers signed pro basketball and baseball contracts and, in fact was destined to throw two homerun pitches to Babe Ruth in his historic 60-home run season in 1927. But pro football also beckoned. In 1926, Nevers turned pro with the NFL’s Duluth Eskimos.
Ed Reed: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 382 месяца назад
Reed played 174 career games and amassed a total of 643 tackles (531 solo), intercepted 64 passes which he returned for 1,590 yards and 7 touchdowns, recorded 6 sacks, and made 13 fumble recoveries. A nine-time Pro Bowler, Reed was named All-Pro six times and the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. Reed was also named to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2000s.
Elroy Hirsch: NFL Champion.
Просмотров 312 месяца назад
Bob Oates of the Los Angeles Times wrote that, even in the era of Jerry Rice, Hirsch "remains the greatest long-distance receiving threat of all time."

1960 was not the only NFL title for the Eagles in the pre-Super Bowl era. They won back-to-back titles in 1948 and 1949.
Oh whoops did I say that? I'll go in and check it out. Thanks for that.
6"1' and 240 pounds with sprinters speed.
Dangerous
Motley was a big fast powerful running back. 6'1" with sprinters speed. He got a late start in the league because of WWII and the fact that the NFL was segregated. If not for those 2 things, he would have been the first Jim Brown.
