Angel's Envy Triple Oak - Is their latest release a winner??
Today we review the latest release in the Angel's Envy Signature Series line - this is the Triple Oak! This was just release in October 2024, they take their straight bourbon and finish it three different types of oak: Hungarian, Chinkapin and French. The price is a little high and the proof is a little low for us BUT this is a good product that should only get better as they hopefully dial it in like the Penelope Architect series has!! Cheers!
If you have a whisk(e)y you would like us to review, leave a note in the comments!!!

Kind of a gimmick to me you're not going to get much difference between Hungarian Oak and French Oak as they seem to be pretty much the same with flavor Hungarian can be a little tighter in grain I would have started off with a regular white oak then finished off with a French Oak with that other goofy Barrel in the middle😂😂

It's the Buffalo trace mash bill. So it hits with floral funk from Buffalo trace but it's finish is semi sweet baking chocolate from Eagle rare. It's the youthful version of that mash bill. It's still very good though.

Just a note: I ran into this whiskey today and they had dropped the price locally (North Georgia) to $60/btl. At that price it was worth an experiment. Enjoyed your review and agree wholeheartedly that the cherry-forward nose does not show up in the palate or finish at all! Overall decent but not my favorite from the distiller.

Good video! Always appreciate the head-to-heads from consecutive years' releases. Already have '23 and might look for '24 based on your comments/results. While this is Master's Collection, you may want to indicate it's the 'Batch Proof' comparisons. What I've heard called "Master's Collection"-only is the Finishing Series, '23 - Sonoma Triple Finish & '24 - Madeira Cask Finish. Would be another great video if you can get your hands on them.

I believe Michter's have used the Chiquapin oak finishing since 2019. I have the 2022 and it states Chiquapin as well. I am not sure the total bottle run is 2500 and change, but each batch seems to be 2500 and change, I don't know how many batches they produce each year. My 2022 batch # is 140 and the one on the website for 2022 is 145, that gap alone suggests at least 15,000 bottles.

Good that you guys also add a coupe of drops of water and talk about it. Most other RUclipsrs don't do that. So good on you guy.

Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad and sometimes it doesn’t matter BUT fun to see what happens!!

Have you ever been able to try any of the BTAC? How much over SRP are you willing to pay for hard to find bottles??
