I know that this is an older video, but you have to get dyes for particular fabrics. The dyes you were using are formulated for 100% natural fabrics, which is why the color is probably not “taking” as well. You have to use dyes that are formulated for polyester or polyester-mix fabrics. Rit makes a formula called DyeMore, which is for polyester fabric, and iDye is a brand that makes dye for polyester.

I best if you got electric kettle would be handy, they cost anywhere from $10-20 so if you got 5 would come in handy and be worth it cuz the water heats fast so you could have them going and dumping and filling and by the time you got to the fifth on the first would be reheated and ready to be dumped and refilled. Just a thought
