This channel will cover a varity of topics in math, computer science and technology that are of interest to me. I have an Associate's Degree in information Technology, a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, and am working on a Master's Degree in Data Science.
No, programmers did not program voting machines to favor Donald Trump
At least there is no evidence of this. Proposing hand counts is one of the silliest ways I've seen of proving his when the government would simply be able to demand to see the source code in this particular circumstance.

The Long-awaited block buster sequel to the Laws of Exponents video promised earlier. I've kept it short because I certainly didn't ask myself whether I should redo this video or gouge my eyes out with a spoon while thinking "You really should have made that the exclusive OR, Mad Computer Scientist, because this means you can pick both options."

My Terrence Howard peer reviews were way better than these 2 goofballs we're watching here!
I think I'm going to need to take a break from Mr. Howard for a while. But at least I'll have some time to do content related to what I want this channel to be about.
@MadComputerScientist1 Fair enough. He can be wildly frustrating to listen to for very long... but I have a few more ideas brewing, and even some video outlines written up for more Howard debunks. Your videos covering him have been good.
@@jamesdelapena5648 Oh I meant on this channel. But it's okay. I do have some more tutorial and educational style videos I had planned that I'm behind on.
I've been really enjoying watching ALL OF Christian RUclips vs. Billy Carson!
All i hear is a mean and angry hag who doesn't like terrance Howard. Disgusting
I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I think she meant The Artificial Intelligence, the Skynet Terminator Overlord that conspiracy theorists think is already dominating the planet. 🤔
Creationists are already training models that only learn their dogma and leave out all scientific data that contradicts it.
This is why I try to point out that an AI isn't an expert on anything and people should not treat it as such. It's surprising how many people don't know how easily AI can be manipulated.
@@MadComputerScientist1 , exactly. Beware of not the sword but of the hand that wields it.
Terrence "Closed Fist" Howard... aka Terrence "I Lost My Mind and Slapped her in Front of the Kids" Howard
Terrence Howard is human garbage; he hits women (He has a known history of ADMITTED spousal abuse). Let's all take a moment to remember that
Love them both 💕
How ard earth did Terrence get so brain damaged?
To quote the late great Canadian actor Donald Sutherland in his greatest role ever -- that of Oddball, the World War 2 tank driver, in Kelly's Heroes: "You're just spreadin' them negative waves, baby!"
Tyler is cancer, he's even exploiting the death of his own father in front of the eye of the entire world and people don't bother that and instead react with empathy 😂. Tyler is a manipulative lying narcissistic women beating addict who's so lazy he cloned his own voice and drop videos in a tempo enough to prevent demonization 😅
why are u 96p
Because the intent is to eventually pay a real artist when the funds are available to do the avatars and branding for the channel.
You're doing a fantastic job! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
I don't do cryptocurrency personally, although I have played around with them a bit in the past. I'm sure there are several online places that can help. The best investment advice I can give is that if you don't understand investment, put your money into an investment account run by people who have specialized in understanding investing.
Dangerous grifters, or dangerously mentally unstable?

Zoomer quit apologetics I believe the best way to make a decision on what religion to choose is to read the religious text for yourself and see if its reliable To me, Jesus' promise of eternal life if you put your faith in him is reliable John 5:31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true."
You are welcome to take your preaching elsewhere. .
Is this the guy who's complaining about not making as much money as Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man, when Robert played THE TITLE CHARACTER?? They have REAL math in Hollywood, too, Terrence. The only math Terrence is really interested in is $$$$ > $$$. Let's make him King of Dunning-Kruger-Land! He won't know what that means, either.
Wait... So if I'm hearing you right, you programmed the voting machines to favor Trump?
No, I was overruled when I added this line, " if (presidentVote === "Donald J. Trump") { alert ("Are you sure you wish to vote for a gilded dirigible?" "Yes", "No"); }
@MadComputerScientist1 awe shucks! We really needed that command! Stupid Elon stans. 😒
Ooh, one of my hot buttons. Because provisions of law in my state that mandate open ballot format are ignored, tricks like SQL injection can't be found by audit of ballot data. It's incredible. Election law in Texas is not followed to the letter, and one important detail creates an enormous security hole.
Voting machines are air gapped for a reason.
@ An air gap wont stop SQL injection . One election in Alaska tallied 200,000 votes statewide. Summing all the precincts came to 300,000. Outcry for ballot data audit went nowhere because the vendor claimed DMCA protection. We don’t have the kind of election security we should.
The machines themselves don't connect to the Internet.
@@MadComputerScientist1 Please accept my apologies if I sound strident. That is not my intention. I like your channel and respect your perspective. Count me as passionate about lawful voting. Paraphrasing Voltaire, I may detest a candidate but I would defend to the death all candidates' rights to honest elections. I have relatives who did just that on battlefields. Of course, the greatest threat to election security is officials who don't have a clue how vulnerable their systems are. SQL injection does not require an Internet connection. Any SQL system that reads data, even if from internal sources, is subject to SQL injection because that's an SQL feature. Here's another vulnerability in Texas. All voting systems, and all voting systems equipment must be certified before use in elections. That's easily proven to not be respected. Since the dawn of time, Texas has never certified a Windows based computer for use in elections. Every election uses a Windows system as a central tally machine, often with a Microsoft Access back end. All elections in this state use uncertified equipment. And who really wants to bet democracy on flashable BIOS's that are never verified? 😉
It's just that SQL injectoin wouldn't be done at the voting machine level. I think the issue is I just didn't quite understand why SQL injuection was brought up in this context.
This is the comment I made on the original video that I think helps to clear up some of the issues: "The semantics of this video is somewhat murky, because you keep saying that "AI doesn't exist" while talking about it in the same breath as something that does exist. Some disambiguation would be helpful. I infer from context that you're saying "A computer that is as smart as a human in every way isn't something that exists", which is accurate. Part of the problem is that AI isn't a single thing. The term "AI", as it's generally used, refers to "any computer program that simulates some aspect of human thinking", and this refers to many things that clearly do exist. The part of the program that controls the opposing side in single player video games is (and has been for a long time) called AI. Large language models are called AI. Machine learning algorithms are called AI. Generative adversarial networks are called AI. The programs that have beaten human chess and go champions are called AI. So, semantically speaking, "AI" is not a single thing, but a general class of computer programs that are designed to simulate some aspect of human thinking, which clearly do exist. (Otherwise what are you making a video about?) One thing to realize is that different AI abilities develop at different rates, and in many specialized areas (such as chess and go), machine intelligence is already far superior to human intelligence, and the number of such areas is steadily increasing. The first autonomous cars were not as good at driving as humans, but current ones arguably are (and if they're not yet then it's just a matter of time). It seems like what you're really trying to say is "The things we call AI shouldn't be called AI", in which case it might be helpful to suggest an alternative term for all the things that are currently referred to as AI. You're also doing a fairly decent job of pointing out many of the current limitations as well as misuses of AI. Another thing to realize is that the many applications of AI are improving rapidly, so the state of the art is not static. There used to literally be no such thing as AI. Then there was very primitive AI. Then there was slightly better AI. And now we're reaching the knee of an exponential curve that represents an explosion of machine intelligence. So, whatever limitations of AI may exist today, there's a good chance that there are researchers who are working on overcoming those limitations. The history of AI development is littered with tasks that were once thought to be too complex for computers to handle but were subsequently overcome. Any statement of the form "AI can't/will never be able to..." is likely to have a short shelf life. As AI continues to develop, it's important to be cautious about excessively trusting imperfect systems, but it's also important to realize just how rapidly those imperfect systems are improving."
I think you may have gotten me confused with Dr. Collier, the person who made the video I am responding to. Dr. Collier does not know these things, I do.
@@MadComputerScientist1 That is the comment I made on Angela's video, which I also shared here.
But what does UFO Jesus say?😂
im here because islam bad. thats pretty much it. all religions are bad but they are definitely bad
woah im the 13th view. what is this why am i here oh god that doesnt exist im scared
I have no idea if a god exists. The issue here is the apologist was not understanding his own implicit biases in the way he asked the question.
Interaction for the algorithm!
Collier is brilliant. What is great about her videos is she talks in simple terms. She is using a.i. as the public understands the term. You can substitute agi or artificial super intelligence or artificial sentience or consciousness to get the point. Rather than being "mean" to her, try learning from her. Pose questions in scientific debate. And for her warning about LLM and advanced machine learning I suggest, is your life better now that you can never get a human on the phone at a corporation? Press 4 if yes, 3 for no, 7 to return to the main menu. I know you are too young to have a frame of reference for that. But I would recommend... If you really want to contemplate ai/agi etc ... Study more pure physics and related (math based) philosophy. Can you solve the hard problem? The measurement problem? Determinism vs probabilistic universe? Are you a reductionist? Or into emergence? Have you contemplated Mary's room or the Chinese room? Do you know what your cognitive biases are? Much of what Dr. Collier talks about (with a droll humor) when she makes videos outside of straight physics is the overall shitty nature of human behavior. That's why "a.i." will ruin everything, anyway.
If I go through the trouble of pinning a comment on a video, it's usually for a reason. Please read it next time before commenting. And thanks for assuming I'm far younger than I actually am.
Interesting subject matter. I hope I can offer some contrary opinions while respecting your thoughts. I remember a movement by shallow and likely untalented people in the 90's to create a programmer's license. Regulating what you can express in Visual Studio Code makes as much sense as regulating what you can express in Word. In either case, law already applies. Murder by AI is already illegal. Fraud by AI is already illegal. If you can't find the people to prosecute, then the crime is already out of reach. Regulation limiting me isn't going to solve that. I hate AI. Regulating it is like stopping a dog fight by grabbing one dog. Scofflaws will just attack. Elon Musk is a clown - or a paradox. Whether he scammed the government out of funding for it or not, he's led some very creative engineering. His rocket engines, for example, look to me to be models of simplification. His robotics have been risible. He's a child in many fields. His statements can't be trusted. His Neurolink advances are near magical. My point is we need to target enforcement correctly. For instance, if you want to stop scammers from draining bank accounts, stop letting banks off the hook for unauthorized transfers. I don't care if my money went through nine hops before disappearing into bitcoin in North Korea. I want my bank prosecuted for releasing my money inappropriately. Do that, problem solved. Banks will not practice loose authentication after that first sting.
You're focusing on the wrong concerns. It's the corporate wonks like Musk and and the misuse of AI by those in power that worries most people looking into the sociological concerns of AI.
There are more mathemagicians who think they are women, then there are women who think they are mathematicians. - Curtis Yarvin
It appears that there are many reasons not to pay attention to Mr. Yarvin, but as far as I can tell, this quote is not one of them. You have either misattributed it or gotten the quote wrong.

Why are we shocked at this. Why isn't 1+1 ==24? We have as a society that a man can have a period and have babies. We believe that there are more than 2 genders. Actually 1x1 =3. God told Adam and Eve to multiply. The two of them multipiled and they had Cain. That' 3. If it's twins then 1x1=4
It seems the basis of any good conspiracy theory is that only you know the truth. You have this special knowledge and that makes you superior to everyone else. In the real world, knowledge comes from learning, whether you get it in school or studying from reputable sources on your own.
Apparently he has stopped calling himself Hans Wormhat, but that wasn't going to stop me from using the cute graphic of a worm in a wizard hat making potions.

What an odd individual you've found!
I did not find him. His shtick is to look at something obviously real and claim its fake. His rejection of reality has made him famous in certain circles.
