    Loved the video! How do I make the background of the zoomed-in plot be a grid? If I do: zm.grid(True) or ax.grid(True) I only get a grid for the main plot, but not for the zoomed-in version.

      Apply: command" zm.grid(True) ". It is working in my code. Please let me know if still the problem is not solved...

      @@Astro_Jyoti Thanks, but it still does not work. "zm.grid(True)" does nothing. "ax.grid(True)" applies a grid to the main plot, but not the small one.

      I will advise to you focus on your fundamentals and basics of subjects. Same stuff they asked in the IUCAA PhD interview. No extra internship is an eligibility criterion, Your master's thesis will be enough.

    i am dealing with area histogram and i am applying multi gaussian fitting on that which gives me the three parameters, amplitude, mean value and standard deviation. but when when i convert the scale from area histogram to energy (calibration process), it does not give the correct values in energy range. how to deal this??

      I think you need to adjust the energy range accordingly while fitting. Let me know if it worked out.
