The first girl obviously took a slanted route towards the catcher... when you watch it in slow motion you can see that the runner purposely made a turn towards the catcher in hopes of running into her... the catcher didn't stick her arm out until impact... and it kinda looks like the second runner was planning on getting revenge on the catcher and the catcher was prepared and if anything, it mite appear that the catch planned on the second one

Played softball my ENTIRE life even did college, that was INTENTIONAL! and the fact that she like bucked her catching glove at the second runner, REEAAALLLLYYYYYY makes me mad. This sport can get intense and yea things happen, but doing something intentional like that can cause injuries. kudos to the runners!

The plate umpire needs to have her dad "talk to him" about this kind of behavior. If I was dad, the umpire would be able suck a straw with his teeth, clinched... Front teeth are for those that deserve them...

The catcher's foot was obviously on the line. I'm pretty sure this is illegal. But also the elbows were clearly intentional violent. The ump should be ashamed of himself for not disciplining the catcher. You see the problem here is umping

Baseball player here. I know there are differences obviously, but in regards to an outfield play to home the rules are generally the same between softball and baseball. Firstly if there is no play to home at the current moment the catcher should not be standing in the direct path of the base runner. Secondly to people saying they should have slid, there is no reason to risk a slide when you can easily touch home base running on your two legs. Thirdly trash talk of any kind by parents/people in the stands does not warrant harm to the opposing teams players. Whatever the case. Let the officials handle it. This girl needs to rethink how she handles herself in life or she will be a miserable person to be around.

She was blocking the plate and elbowing the runners. She should be removed. Assault and poor sportsmanship should not tolerated. And that scumbag Phillip Pesha should stop apologizing for her. The coaches name is Verrill Young he was my high school coach in football and track and when i tell you that guy knows his shit it is an understatement. I remember him racing against a texas a&m commit we had on our team and when i tell you he could still run his ass off at 40 plus years old that dude was built for speed. He was so athletically gifted hell he used to play scout team quarterback against our starting defense in football with no pads on
