If you get bounced to another server playing a running event that specifies a target (like Chastushka) then the "if successful" clause just completely fizzles and you access as normal.

Santa's line was threatening flatline through 3rd class act without the advance. Next turn could have been, Rez spin + Djupstad > play planno > rez click holo man > rez click 2nd holo man. 10 cards in hand cost 13 credits net, kills through 3rd class act.

As hard as it is to relive this game, super cool breakdown! I recorded and narrated my game and posted on my channel. Check it out! The tl;dr of what happened on this game is I missed the first HoloMan expose in jnet log. And I also missed that rashida went in the remote at the same time as all upgrades. So I missed that I knew the agenda was the last card. Major misplays that cost me the game :/

As the sole Jinteki player, I thought I would add my own perspective: 1) It's funny hearing my draw be described as "the nuts" (27:58), as the entire game I was thinking "Wow, I'm really flooded with agendas! This won't go well." I think rushing was the only way to get out of the flood, and I got lucky that you couldn't find a sentry breaker. 2) Looking at the Saisantan run, I think you were right to jack out, noting that the Regenesis was in the 7 cards I looked at. I think I had a Punitive Counterstrike as well. I was tempted to put in a Fuji instead of a Bacterial, which also may have made a difference? 3) That final Regenesis play was risky, but I did suspect you wanted to have a set-up turn after the Saisantan - so it was a calculated/hopeful risk that paid off :D Thank you again for the games, and congratulations on the result!

While I do enjoy the game right now, this article and its reasoning bugs me more than it should. I think NSG's focus on preventing runner NPEs has produced a very different kind of Netrunner, where making fewer high quality runs takes a backseat to being able to access cards more or less at will. Shapers just cannot be kept out at this point and HB will continue to be the best faction until that changes. The idea that SMC is fine but a card like Gold Farmer is too far speaks to the unwillingness to even tax runners, much less actually stop them in a significant way. What is ICE for if not to make the runner have a bit less fun for a while? God forbid NBN (and to a lesser extent Jinteki) be allowed to do anything that makes the runner frown, I guess. I also agree that Shaper archetypes are not nearly as diverse as the article suggests, but this comment is long enough!

How is soin doctor not banned? It's entirely too good. It seems like a mindless auto include in any corp deck and the power it exerts on the field of play is ridiculous for a zero cost card imho

Triple MIC is I think a smart choice. People usually run the remote into reg PD and losing your whole turn is true suffering. Mavirus isn't needed in this meta I reckon. Unironically the best target is Pelangi.

Lets go! Tripple ADT is spreading! The Ansel is mainly because I stole the list of aksu who had it in there. I liked the spread in terms of ice types with it, but just saying that drafter is worth double its weight in sentries is also an approach that i endorse, i dont think ansel has done much for me. (I might have set up some traps with it for unsuspecting 3 strength echelons but my opponents never ran the servers that was set up at) (also, brb changing my writeup name to "Objectively Worse Hosh")

I've been loving the Bankhar Steve list lately and your game recounting of the PD matchup with Chromatically describes how it ends up playing out so often for me - it generates really fun and interesting situations.

Nice report! I'm your opponent for our 4th games. As you said, i badly misplayed. I installed the bankhar thinking I'd only use it if/when i need the Hail Mary... But then just used it as usual up to running through Anansi with it. So stupid 😂. At least, it gave us both ample time for lunch!! Next time, I'll make it a bit more challenging for you to win hopefully.

Really good stuff not_yeti! The story about not drawing the Ikawah out of Archives was really fun. I think it would be really fun if you linked replay files from when you do online tournament recaps - also I would love if you did replay reviews of games that are particularly interesting and/or deck tutorials like how to play style videos. Keep it up!
