Boring

not anything worth to buy. Goatlord and Under a Funeral Moon are the best albums of Darkthrone but we have only been listening to Darkthrone for near 30yrs so what would we know??? unfortunately it seems that Darkthrone is Deceased. Rest Unpeacefully Darkthrone. it is sad when one of our favourite bands turns out stuff like this. but, only our opinion.

I dont like any of the post "Underground Resistance" albums because they sound all the same, but im really enjoying this one. Not a masterpiece by any means but its a nice doomy record.

So here is my 2 cents on the new Darkthrone: A good step after 2 missteps. Solid 7/10 but still a bit short to Old Star. The side B issue is more like a mild annoyance to me, not that big that made the wax defective. Some spots are cool with it ngl. Peaceville will replace it anyways to whoever want it.

You can tell ppl new to Darkthrone when literally the band has been doing Celtic Frost since the early 90s. Fukkn love it. So far this album I am enjoying more than most other post 00s throne.

Instead of this... I would like to hear something like mixture of Transilvanian Hunger and Strappado. Dirty, raw and hateful, medieval and punkish (the real way) & satanic poems. But one can dream.

Kinda' sounds like Darkthrone to me...

Their songwriting and arrangements have certainly suffered with these past two albums. Black Dawn, some riffs in Howling, and the first 4 minutes of Bird People are the only interesting parts of the album to me. The majority of this album is safe metal, no balls to it, just like Astral Fortress. When they hold a chord for more than 3-5 seconds to segue into the next part of the song…..be very afraid something bad and tasteless is going to happen.

Recently I heard a person who described Metallica as known for the band with no good LPs for years and years ..... Therefore I think that Darkthrone must be known as the band which quite simplely cant disappoint ! Viva Darkthrone :)

I don't understand the haters; this is awesome. Love the production and the riffs. This one feels more inspired than the last one. Even the clean vocals are perfect. For those complaining about the riffs, make sure you check out the 2nd half of the record, which I think is even better than the first half.
