Old School Model Works Dart
Просмотров 746Месяц назад
When we started out to design a smaller, quick-to-build, and inexpensive kit, we found that we had the perfect starting point-our Javelin. It's great flying characteristics have made it one of our best-selling kits. So we found that by shrinking it, simplifying the construction, and lightening parts where we could, we ended up with a fantastic flying model-the Dart! It's another in our Schoolya...
Old School Model Works Polaris R/C Kit. Customer quotes
Просмотров 309Месяц назад
Don’t take our word for it. Instead, here’s just some of the quotes we’re hearing from our customers who love their Old School Model Works Polaris. Join the Simitar Squadron and become a Polaris pilot with a design that's very smooth-flying and graceful. Easy to build with pieces laser-cut from high-quality balsa and ply woods. When finished, the Polaris' typical Simitar characteristics give it...

Old School Model Works Raven 64mm EDF kit - Intro
Просмотров 3382 месяца назад
Fast when you want it to be, slow when you need it to be, and always stylin'. The design of our Raven is inspired by Terry Dunn’s Very Light Jet design published years ago in Fly R/C magazine. Although Terry’s original design was a simple, foam park-flyer, it had great lines reminiscent of the VLJs that Cirrus, Sonex and others now produce - or even possibly Mooney, if they had ventured into pr...
Old School Model Works Raven 64mm EDF (framed)
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.2 месяца назад
We based the size of the Raven around a 64mm EDF - a power system that’s inexpensive, readily available and has plenty of power for this type of design. It’s mounted right up-top, in the air flow channel of the fuselage. From there we massaged and reworked Terry’s design - adding landing gear and re-engineering the fuselage to have a removable wing section. A little tuck here, a little snip the...

😊😊😊😊😊
This needs shoulder mounted wings and a V shape on the bottom of the fuselage. A step and tip float. Perfect flying boat. 😎👍
Great video, Enjoyed it!
Looks like a winner!
Why thank you. We think so - it's a lot of fun in a small package!
Already preordered!
I have not built a kit in years but this one I think I will have to get. :)
How much does it cost to
Very nice looking!
Nice job, Mark!
Greqt video
Great flying site and a bunch of nice aircraft! You all are living the life!
I really like the way my electric Kaos 60 performs ‘big air’ aerobatics. This was enhanced by replacing the skinny 1” ailerons with 2”.
Would this be good as a second plane? I am currently flying the apprentice and i think in the amount of time it will take me to build something I'll be ready for a sport(y) trainer. This looks like it might be good for that.
It would be. Now that being said, make sure that you're capable of flying your Apprentice with all of the stabilization turned off. If you can do that, then the Lark would be a good choice and something you can gain experience with.
@@osmw Understood. Thank you for the quick reply.
They hit it out of the park with this one!
Ordered! I’ll make a fun build video, please ship asap!!
Love it. This little airplane is going to be BIG.
Def gonna make mine a seaplane
Great looking edf, good flight envelope. What will the kit cost and when will they be ready for shipping......
Please visit the link for all the details.
Any plans
Plans will be included in each kit.
@@osmw thanks didn’t know it was a balsa plane and I am a beginner so can do v tail ether.
@@tomschuller1967 Although a balsa airplane, this is not a beginner kit. Please check out our website for better choices for a beginner build.
Looking forward to this one!
Wow very cool finally an EDF to your outstanding collection! Looks great!
Wayy cool I love it
Very interesting.
Nice
Falcon 56, Sig Kadet, all same proven design taught who knows how many to fly RC. Classic.
I like it - looks like a flying wing. How about some different audio - ruclips.net/video/1-s7Oxbxs_I/видео.html (The Raven Speaks - Woody Herman) Just a thought.... :-)
Building one right now (5/31/24) - easy build!
Very nice model, well flown. The BA power system is killer for 60 size models.
Hi! How did you install the camera onto the plane?
Simple - just used velcro.
Gotta love all the glow planes!
The smell of nitro is in the air.
Nice day of flying. Great video
Very nice!
did you need any tail weight
6s 5000 pack, yes. 5s 4200 pack, no.
I flew one of the simitars years ago. There is not stalling. It just kind of mushes into the ground.
I Built a Bridi Kaos 40 in 1982. HB PDP 40 power. Futaba radio - before all that computer junk! Great engine!
Glamorous glennis released.
Parachute man rules.
Had a red Kaos too in 1980.It had doped silk wings, super tough and super light. When you tapped the wing, it was hard like a drum. it was given to me when i was just 16 and learning to fly R/C. looking back, id say it was the best built plane id ever owned and flown.
Slow flight is awesome. 5 channel radio?
5 or 6. Flaps on 5, Fun Fly Bay operation on 6.
@@osmw Thanks.👍😎
This is fantastic. Does this use Bill Evans Simitar airfoil?
Yes it does.
Nice! Bill Evans would be proud. That looks terrific.
Great job. Arrgh.
Why didn't you explain the Aircraft? I am old school also. Balsa not a foamy. 1979 Olympic 2, 10 foot wingspan Sailplane .still have it and converted it to an electric power Glider. A favorite of my 628 R/C Aircraft. Arrgh. Keep un Flying.
We have quite a nice explanation- in the link - to our website. Check it out.
Hell yeah with a Jett .60!
I built that kit back in the early 90s. Great flyer. This one looks great! New sub!
Great to see the models you select to produce mark....I have both sizes of the robinhoods...sweet plane .❤ Reminds me of the scimitar.. great tunes to match the flying..well done.
Many thanks
Looks a little unstable to me?
Very stable - this is flown in 20mph cross-winds. So you'll see some bumps, but considering the winds, it does VERY well.
Cant wait.
landing could probably be even slower
WOW beautiful model!
