Male kingfisher dispatching a decent catch down at Walthamstow Wetlands at the weekend.

Watch as this male kingfisher at Walthamstow Wetlands coughs up a pellet of fish bones and scales which he cannot digest. Having done this he went off to immediately fish again. Filmed yesterday lunchtime.

Popped to my friends on Regents Canal at lunchtime today and sat hoping the kingfisher might make a visit. To my surprise it was the juvenile female who turned up, this was 1 of 3 fish she caught. She also swallows it when it is still properly wriggling!

This young kingfisher was in a small reedbed in east London during the high winds, but was still managing to fish successfully.

After a stand off of 90 mins on the River Lea on Hackney Marshes these two male kingfishers came to blows, but not before another surprise. Watch and listen to see how this unfolds, I think its one of my best sightings. Nature is amazing!
