Welcome from Lincoln City, Oregon! Thanks for visiting--please enjoy sights and sounds I have created. I hope you Like them! Some slideshows use pics from other artists to help one visualize the subject-matter of the composition.
Western Village Train 2024
From the Oregon coastal cliffs to the prairie plateaus, let your imagination bring you into our western village layout. Tonya specially built a log cabin, AND this year for the first time, "climb aboard" for actual train rides around the "countryside"! Listen for pre-recorded railroaders' chit-chat that a DCC layout provides as well as soothing piano serenades. Oh and by the way, we drive a KIA--just sayin'... ;)

Sweating HOT day at the Yamhill County Fair. Drenched in it. Here's a short clip of one of my favorite bass lines with a synth part I wrote.

Backyard Bucks

Our security-cam recordings stop and start frequently even though the action triggering them is consistent. Nevertheless, this low-rez but fun family video on our deck spliced together fairly well, and we hope you enjoy our discovery and memory of the "Backyard Bucks"!
My Mt. Hood
Просмотров 567 месяцев назад
Our view of Mt. Hood from the Winslow Way balcony in Salem produced some awesome skies from which I have attempted to capture still shots and present them here as "My Mt. Hood". It was 8 years in the making. Well, that is, 4 taking pictures, 4 figuring out how to organize and what to do with them (and get motivated), and now, 1 month to produce the video and write/record music. The soft "soundt...

First year in a new location and didn't think we could fit it! Although losing several track layout features including the reverse loop we had before, the bay window is a fun location nonetheless! The new steam engine and Digitrax controller is a blast to work once we figured out how! As usual, Tonya enjoys the finishing details that bring it to life :) Although lighting is critical to seeing t...
Balcony Birds

The annual cedar waxwing migration was a fascinating couple of days each year, viewing from our Winslow Way balcony. Hundreds would suddenly show up, launching their berry feast from the nearby conifers until the berries were completely gone. This time, hummingbirds, goldfinches, and a fledgling heron showed up for the fun too! It's like the baby heron is asking, "Where am I and how did I get h...

King Tide 2023 - Lincoln City, Oregon
Просмотров 203Год назад
There was no major storm associated with this King Tide so it was a little more tame than some. Still, the foam was pretty good, the tide was high, and many people came and went to watch it. Of course, Joe the Sea-Lion (in bronze) was the focal point for many families and cute kids. As usual, Tonya managed to find some treasures during low tide! We looked over the whole scene from The Overlook ...

Chapters: 0:00 Intro and Text 1:23 Song 4:00 2nd Avant Garde & Grand Finale Although in 3-4 time, don't expect a waltz from this one! It has 5 sections ranging from avant-garde with random drum hits ("dropped" with no particular tempo or time) to a solid ending with dynamic power chords. I featured video from my Gig Performer rackspace screen to showcase some of its bells and whistles too. Simp...

It just came to be, and then I discovered how surprisingly funny the lyrics were. I do have a little (old ceramic) brown jug with a cork. It's empty.

Chapters: 0:00 Intro and text 0:48 Song 2:39 Fire Circle to Space 3:41 7/8 Time 4:51 Hand Bridge 6:17 Gig Performer screens "Resolve" is a fun song to play. It's so neat that the Chapman Stick allows for one of my more unique moments where the right hand plays the mirror of the left and they produce the same notes in opposite octaves. Thus, when my opening bass theme is repeated at the "Hand Br...

Chapters: 0:00 Beachcomber 0:24 Intro and text 0:45 Song 4:28 Outro and Gig Performer screens For years I played this soft Joe Satriani song with no drums which allowed rhythmic flow and feel. I built the drum track trying to follow the original, with brushes, and I'm still getting used to it. I like it, but it's funny how seemingly small changes like a solid tempo can make such a difference ;)

Muy buena la introducción, me hiso soñar
That is so awesome Jeff! You are the model railroad master! 🚂
Awesome video work bro!
I'm looking at this again on July 28, 2024 at 5:08 pm United States Mountain Standard Time. Let's see if this comment will show here. LMAO!!
The Ibanez Black Eagle is a 1970s version?
Sure is. Still plays the best of all my basses. Thanks for your comment!
@@WalkingStick2010 Thanks for answering! 👍
This is a test, only a test. I put a comment in here a few days ago, but for some reason it disappeared.
Thanks Diana! It's so weird but thanks for trying--I know you meant well. At least the test came through! LOL

Hi Jeff! Always enjoy hearing your music. So much talent.
Hi Jeff! Hope you're surviving these days! Thanks for all your comments--sorry I don't get into the comment section much but I sure appreciate your kind words. You've always been a great supporter of music in M'town. Glad you're still goin strong.
👍 Good stuff Jeff
Thanks Mike--I'm glad to hear from you!
@@WalkingStick2010 yea been back in Iowa for little over 3 years working at a limo company
What a beautiful piece of music, to go with such a lovely captured moment.
Thanks Emily--much appreciated!
I love it - photos and music. Thanks for sharing.
Nice playing!
Cool music and the pictures of the child with the dog were very nice to see. Cool to see/hear what YOU can do with that stick, Jeff. I remember when you first got it while we were roommates briefly with Suzanne in the early '80s. Remember me?
Is this an original Black Eagle or one of the reissues? Also, the keyboards are too loud. At times I can't even hear the bass.
Nice sound.....
That bass tho. Wow! Very nice. :-)
Hey, JEFFFFFFFFF!!!!! This was very cool. I love trees, as well as squirrels and birds. Squirrels are SO cute. I enjoy watching them as they scurry around. I notice the detail of their little faces and paws. Also, I envy the birds. I really wish I could flyyyyyyyyyy like a bird. I have a nice view where I live in Denver. I live on the top floor, 3rd floor and often see birds fly by my window, back and forth. It's like they're doing a birdy air show for me. : ) By the way, do you by chance remember me? We shared an apartment for too brief a time in the early 80s with Suzanne near 3rd and something (on Blackburn?) in L.A. I guess we didn't really know each other well, but the time was fun. You have crossed my mind a few times over the years. Now, I FINALLY found you here on youtube. Cool music you've made.
Hi Diane, only took me 6 years to find this! haha. I'm usually just in long enuf to post and organize then I'm out (of YT). I know we've connected a couple years back since you wrote this, but thanks for your comment and enjoying the music/videos. Hope you're doing well and staying away from COVID!! (p.s. there's a totally dedicated squirrel video too)
Hey, this is impressive! Has there been more done on this lately?
