Wow that is crazy. When you checked the fuses did you pull them out and look at them? You know I had to change my old radio because it was burned up on the radio where the wire harnesses hooked up. My fuse was blown too. I was worried my wire harnesses would have to be replaced. I hooked it to the new radio and it worked. So having said all that I think my got wet or something to make it burn. Another thought it just make sure your wire harnesses is completely connected and that all your fuses are completely in all the way. If all that good. You’re going to have to check the wires for a break or bare wire that is shorting out. Let me know what you find.

Over 10,000 pounds you're supposed to have 4 chains and 4 binders. So you could use 4 really short chains. Like you said it is under 10,000 pounds skid steer only. Its a good chain down! I dont think they would bother you. That's something you could certainly do differently is the 4 short chains and 4 binders. Thats a federal dot requirement like you stated. The chain over the brush hog is excellent!! Any loader, excuvator etc needs either a chain or strap over the top of the bucket/ attachment, boom or other item. The chain over the loader attachment (brushhog) could easily keep you from getting stopped. Nice work
