Unveiling the Mysteries of Gravity: A Simple STEM Science Experiment on Spacetime and Black Holes!
#gravity #spacetime #blackholes
Children's University code: red1209
The law of gravity was described by Sir Isaac Newton in 1687 to provide our earliest understanding of this force. In 1915, Albert Einstein published his theory of general relativity, combining space and time into spacetime, and changing the description of how gravity works, especially in space. In this simple science experiment, you explore how spacetime is affected by gravity, and how gravity is affected by mass, and the effect that black holes have on spacetime!
This activity is perfect for World Space Week, or any space or forces topic.

Ozobot is indeed nice and cute and easy to use. I created an article in Dutch for schools on the ozobot. Programming it for a traffic demonstrator. It includes reference to the code with full instructions for printing a traffic crossing base plate experiment. tauvicr.wordpress.com/2017/09/26/de-ozobot-leert-verkeersregels/ I like your series and appreciate the effort you put into it. Keep on going. Wonderwful.

I just love technology.
HAARP causes tornadoes 🤡🤡
It depends on the age range of the content you are going for but for me this leaves a big question as to 'why'. Why does hot air and cold air passing each other begin to create that horizontal spin, what's actually happening? Anyways subbed, best of luck with your new channel/content.
@moretalynx172 Thank you. These were initially started for primary school children during the pandemic. That is from one of my earlier videos while I was still finding my way. I try and be a bit more detailed now. However, inspiring further curiosity was also an aim, so people can take their learning further :)
why doesn't cup burn?
Paper burns at a much higher temperature than water boils. The water is drawing the heat energy away from the cup, so the water warns up and the cup doesn't burn 🙂
@@STEMwithMrN ITS CRAZY! keep thinking about this! i have more questions
Didn't keep the cup over the flame for long enough.
It was over the flame for quite a while, but it didn't reach boiling because the wind started blowing the candle out.
@@STEMwithMrN So my prediction was correct?
@titusjames4912 what happens is the water heats up and the cup doesn't go on fire :)
@@STEMwithMrN but eventually the candle will run out of fuel. (Or in this case heat.
Eventually, yes, the candle will run out of fuel, in this case possibly before all the water would boil away. The main point, though, is an empty paper cup over a candle will go on fire, but one with water in it won't.
The candle will go out.
Part 2 is now up in my Shorts, so you can check out what happens!
Love this activity and how you explain the science. Thanks for posting!
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I get surprise by your indept demonstration.😮👏👏
Best to show and explain it in all its glory!
We did this at summer camp one time lol
It's a fun activity to do. My classes often like repeating it.
What do you need to do this
I'm currently playing in an ice hockey tournament. I'll reply when I get home and let you know all the measurements 🙂
Always have an adult present when doing this activity, and wear eye and hand protection, as some of the contents can potentially be harmful. In container 1 (stirred well to mix): 150ml of distilled water ; contents of 1 vitamin c capsule (break it open and tip in the contents) ; 6ml of 12% iodine solution. In container 2 (stirred well to mix): 40ml of boiling water ; 100ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide ; 2 grams of corn starch. Then pour them together in a third container, and watch the iodine clock reaction take place!
wonderful
Thank you!

All white dudes...of course.
Vera Rubin, Jocelyn Bell Burnell and Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar are not "white dudes"
@@STEMwithMrN how do you know? Even so that is just 3. 🤣🤣
@Jasona1976 I know, it's only 30% of the video. I managed greater diversity in some of the other sciences. Unfortunately, physics is a male-dominated field and many of those who had the greatest impact - that we are aware of - are white males. It would have been easier for me to just do all white males, but I wanted to get some diversity while still looking at people who made a big impact.
@@STEMwithMrN diversity is a delusion of the radical left. The fact is that white males have dominated every area of science for hundreds of years. And we can thank them for all the benefits of the modern world.

The Earth is non rotating it's fixed immovable, the sun circles around the Earth, Check military documents and do some real research..
There are many documents with calculations with stated assumptions as a very precise answer is not required, and these are directly stated assumptions in amongst other things which are untrue, such as assuming there is no atmospheric pressure, for example. However, there are centuries of scientific research and evidence to prove the Earth is rotating. For example, time exposure cameras show circular paths of star trails proving the Earth is rotating; the winds on the Earth curve proving the Earth is rotating; pendulums swing and change direction proving the Earth is rotating. Some Flat Earthers even used a ring laser gyroscope to try and disprove the rotation of the Earth, and instead measured the correct rotation of 15 degrees per hour.
@STEMwithMrN total distorted bs !!! The facts are the earth and oceans are measured by, flat straight sun moon reflection over ocean horizon to shore based observer, sun-mirror-reflections recorded flat and straight inches above large bodies of water over many miles without curve interference, water levels, theodolite, microwave, radar, laser, sonar, Mountain Long Distance Shadows and Long Range inferred photography (out to 700 miles) record the earth being an undulating level plane with its large bodies of waters horizontal, flat and level at rest. NASA released physics doc's confirm - nonrotating flat earth.! There is not one demonstratable empirical scientific evidence of a spinning water sphere flying through the alleged theory of a 10 to the minus -17 tor vacuum of alleged space.. these facts are confirmed by Militaries, Navy, Airforce and Nasa's engineering scientific physics document calculations for rockets, projectiles and aircraft, that all state nonrotating flat earth, nowhere in their papers do they rely on Coriolis or a rotating sphere earth.. ballers will say they use "nonrotating flat earth" to simplify there math... this is also utter BS.!!!
I hate it when my nuts swing at different speeds
