Born in “1953” yet lived through WW2?!

I was born just three months short of the only male born to the Kray family after the twins. He was named Gary and he was devoted to his Nan called Violet who in return doted on her only legitimate grandson. I had an older brother at the time, who subsidized his wages at Lesney`s toy factory as a maintenance electrician, by driving his light blue Ford Zodiac for Ron`s mini cab operation in Bethnal Green Road opposite Brick Lane every Friday night regular, except one night which had severe repercussions for my brother and the cab company. Every Friday night he had to collect Gary and take him to see his Nan Violet. He always paid cash and would slip a tip to my brother of twenty quid. Now in them days that was a very generous amount of money to give someone a tip, which was very handy as he had a wife and a young ankle biter to support. As the tip was eased out of a roll of a lot more twenties, my brother asked Gary why didn`t he have his own car, seeing as he was well loaded?? Gary told my brother that Ol Bill was always looking for the slightest opportunity to feel his collar and he was advised not to drive about on his own and to always use Ron`s mini cab service or have another pair of eyes in what ever motor that he was in, which at that time was very good advice because Ol Bill were on a roll after banging up the twins and a number of the Firm too. On the particular Friday night in question, I said to my brother, how about having a Friday night out for once and nip up west to the Marquee club, which used to be great for Jazz and early R&B which we were both into, with the R&B as a preference to the Jazz. So after phoning Ron and telling him that he wouldn`t be in tonight, we shot up west and had a good night out hoping to see who was going to pop in and give an impromptu performance like the Who, as they were Mods like us, or Jimi Hendrix or Fleetwood Mac and so on. On the Saturday morning my brother phoned Ron to ask if he could do Saturday night to make his money up as he had Friday off but couldn`t get a reply, which was very unusual because there was always some one on the desk to book in the rides. So he phoned one of the other drivers to find out why Ron`s phone was dead and was met with the reply `Don`t you know what`s `append ??` Apparently after finding out that my brother wasn`t cabbing tonight, the nice young Gary kop the hump with Ron and he demanded Ron to send my brother to pick him up and take him to his Nan`s gaff. Ron tried to explain about my brother and myself off up west on a night out for a change but he wasn`t having any of it. The next thing that occurred was two of the firm that were still on the loose, turned up at Ron`s and ordered every one out, then they proceeded to torched the place which went up like Guy Fawkes on bon fire night, not a pleasant site to witness your means of employment floating away in ashes. So the moral of this story is just because you can`t see the snake`s head, doesn`t mean he can`t administer retribution. Even though they may have been banged up the twins, they could still exert their influence, especially in their own manor.

Ronnie Kray couldn't stand the idea that somebody wasn't frightened of him and when Cornell told the mother of a young villain that Ronnie had sexual intentions towards her son .this was too much for Ronnie
