How Måneskin Conquered The World
Просмотров 41 тыс.Год назад
*FLASHING LIGHT ADVISORY* Måneskin were an already promising and exciting band with their debut full length “Il Ballo Della Vita”, but the album that shot them into the stratosphere was their follow-up “Teatro d’ira: Vol. 1.” In this video we’ll dive deep into what made this album so special and hopefully give my fellow English speakers a deeper enjoyment of this piece of work. Hope you enjoy! ...

The History of: Siouxsie & the Banshees

Nearly 30 years ago, The Banshees split up for good. What happened in the 20 years that they were together though? Great video! I am absolutely *rabid* about Siouxsie. I did not realize that she worked with so many badasses. Birds of a feather and all that.✊🏾🔥
I actually saw Vincent at least 6 years ago. Would rewatch. Thennnn I just watched Hansel and Gretel last night. I love seeing where he started. The algorithm is great too 🤣
fire video
thank you ur the goat
You ruined the video by adding Jenna Ortega.
I was just thinking that a video like this was called for, I think most women in pop know they owe a lot to Imogen Heap, just like many electronic women artists who followed steps of bjork as well. But the public doesn't seem to know even though the influence is clearly there. She has such a incredible sound, it is pretty much peak of what Pop should sound like... Even recent artists seem to pull from her like Caroline Polachek. Edit: haha, you also did mention Caroline Polachek, btw great video!
100% agreed!! i'm really glad that she's getting a little bit more recognition from the younger generation! and thank you so much for watching!
SIOUXSIE IS SO SEXY, GREAT BAND
* HARDCORE *
I band of true visionaries who absorbed what was going on and moved on at one and the same time.
Love the video, but the sound volume inconsistency bothers me
Man you forgetting one of the Greatest Hardcore/Crossover bands ever that were/still are the influence for hundreds of bands all around the world. The AWESOME DISCHARGE.
thank you for the great video <3 also they released their new album called "subrosa" and it is wonderful like all their other projects.
this video underrated asl twin i hope u blow up sb
thank you my dawg we'll get there one day 🙌🙌
Aye man, LONG LIVE THE ROCKABILLIES
Thank you so much for featuring them ❤
brilliant video 🌟
thank you so much!!
thank you, Clairo!!! and thank you, Rich Mom!!!
thank you very much!!
love your video man!!! and love the layouts you did for the video 100/100!!
thank you I really appreciate it!
I understand they do not like to be labeled but that is what people do to describe certain music. Nothing wrong with it.
Btw, i think Guy has worked on another song from i megaphone , which should have been called "airplane" but they soon changed it to "aeroplane", it was for the japanese realease of the album :)
this is fax!! super underrated track
@@richmom agreed! It's one of my faves. Btw, amazing video <3
From someone who was immersed in the NYHC scene as a teen, this video is pretty accurate, though not comprehensive. The feature length documentary American Hardcore (AHC) is more in-depth.
This is an incredible video. You can really tell how much work you put into this. Can’t believe you didn’t speak French before starting 😂 amazing stuff. I hope to rewatch this again when I’m older and paradis return for a 20th anniversary“recto verso” reunion tour
thank you so much!! and yes I hope they reunite one day to make some more classics 🙌🙌🙌
Slapshot ❤
One important work overlooked was their masterpiece EP "The Thorn"
She and billy idol were the guys always supporting sex pistols, going everywhere with them....marco pirroni was after this in adam and the ants, billiy idol made the generation x with the great Tony james (sigue sigue sputnik, sisters of mercy on the album vision thing, carbon silicon with mick jones) and of course steve stevens...punk and cyberpunk...forever
as a hardcore buck-tick fan it’s great to see them getting more coverage by people outside japan too, this video literally filled me with joy :3
I know à lot of music, though I've never heard of them. Awesome!
😭amé el video
gracias!!
I love how theres all this talk about inclusivity and then the flyer for Black Flag has fa**got on it haha
pls make a deep dive on this i would watch 3+ hrs of buck tick 😌
The hardcore movement gave me meaning in my musical pursuit and eventually in life. It is beyond punk for me. It is about having a positive progressive fun
Things they should have mentioned - those other non-album singles, the fact that the Creatures actually started in 1981, the fact that Tinderbox only took so long because they had to re-record it from scratch after splitting with two producers (well, that and the broken leg incident), the fact that Join Hands and Superstition were not critically praised at the time, the fact both Marr and Morrissey were Banshees fans (until the duet anyway), the disaster that was the Seven Year Itch tour, and the fact Budgie also had addiction problems (which was a factor in the band's dissolution)
LOL, the Hardcore scene was, pretty much, a bunch of Napoleon Hill objectivists with some republican sympathy. There was a Punk Rock show for the GOP with the Circle Jerks, the Dickies, the Vandals, D.I. and Plain Wrap back in '85. Google it. Pretty much everyone in the Misfits has been a Republican voter, half of the Ramones were Republicans (but all were anti-Marxists)...
Siouxsie also toured in 1988 on their Peepshow Tour through the UK and the United States. You also didn't mention that they got back together and they're still touring in 2024.
Being a Vincent myself I can confirm that there is a dark side I myself like to embrace.
Dr.Know Oxnard
DRI anyone?
My all time fave. I have every cd. I've been listening to Siouxsie since the late 80's
I love Clairo.
很高兴能看到这么多热爱buck-tick的朋友!😭
Thank you for this <3 Not a lot of people talk about Buck Tick enough
Song from the edge of the world
loved the editing! your voice was a great accompaniment to the story of claire :)
thank you so much!!
I'd recommend looking into "The Crazy Rider Yokohama GInbae Rolling Special" (often shortened to "Yokohama Ginbae") or Daisuke Shima. The latter runs a youtube channel and was a big artist for J-rock of this type.
will definitely check these out!! thank you!
My breath is literally taken away finishing watching this stroll through my youth! Siouxsie Sioux was the grandest cultivator of my punk rock/new wave days. She was there in every stage of my development and I listen to her still. I remember when the first notes of her songs would play-how we ran to the dance floor! God bless you my New Wave goddess. Je voudrais t'encontre une jour-puet etre cette ane-mon cheris!
thank you so much for watching!! Et oui! Peut-être un jour 🤝🤝
Loved this. I relate to this growing up. Haha
This is so well put together! Thank you for such a beautiful tribute to one of the most influential bands in Japanese Rock.
thank you so much for watching!!

Keeping the flame alive. I am grateful.
i try my best! thanks for watching!!
